AWKWARD WAS an understatement as you walk alongside childe and the other pair, it was beyond that. the silence was unbearable, so far from being being comfortable. the tension didn't falter even once, and so as the uneasiness you felt.
" so y/n, i believed you are quite close to scaramouche? " mona interrupted the silence, asking you.
you turned to look at her, meeting her curious gaze. " ah, i suppose not? we're just.. acquaintances to say. " you quickly answer her.
the way you answered her question made scaramouche's eyes flicker to you. though, you failed to notice his piercing glare towards you since you turned back to childe right after.
" oh? that's— i see. " it wasn't obvious, but you saw the surprise on her face. however, she was quick to change her expression. " anyways, scar. where are we headed to? "
scaramouche shrugs, " somewhere near, i'm tired walking with you all day. " he answered, making mona roll her eyes at him.
" you're the one who took me ou— " mona complained but the indigo haired guy beside her was quick to shut her up.
" let's just eat here. " he says.
you and childe stood awkwardly behind them as they entered a cafe.
" ... i'm still a bit full. " you say to no one in particular but a certain someone still did heard it enough though.
" i can eat your part then, i'm hungry. " the ginger beside you proudly took his tongue out at you, making you grimace at the guy. nonetheless, you nodded.
the two of you then followed scaramouche and mona inside. quickly spotting where they settled at, you and childe approached their table.
there was already desserts on the table, you guessed they ordered for you two already.
as soon as you sat, you told them that childe would just be eating your part, in which they just nodded to. then, mona began to ask questions again, well specifically to you.
