Chapter 8

A/N : Hi! And I am soooo sorry for not updating! So here is a quick cute chapter for you because it's like 10:00 pm right now sooooo.... yah :P

~ 1 week later ~
During the past week my arm has healed quite a bit and now it's just a scab, so I just wear long sleeve shirts to hide it for a while. And, I've also met quite a few more people in the town, including all of the cute little toddlers and little children. They seem to like me so I just let them follow me or ask me questions whenever they want. So one day, I was outside the house and I found a old well near the middle of Alexandria. I asked Diana about it and she said that it was the well they used before they got the community up and running but now it isn't used anymore, so they just left it there. You might think that an old well might stink, or be falling apart, but this was a beautiful well with a crimson metal roof an little morning glory vines growing in and out of the stone walls, while large, blue morning glories bloomed in the morning sunlight. I thought it was neat so I decided to take some of the 5-8 year olds to go and see it. A little girl, Emily, had beautiful blonde hair so I put a morning glory in her hair and she giggled. I smile warmly at her adorableness. "This, guys is called a well. People used to use these to get water out of. " I said to them as a couple of them peeked over the edge of the stone wall. I figured since these little ones won't be getting any proper teaching any time soon, ( no affence Jesse ) I thought I could teach them what I know from my time in school. "And, did you know you can make wishes into the well and they just might come true?" I said. They just stared at me in shock. "Really?" Half of them said. "Yep!"

I sang while I looked into the well. I looked back up and the kids just stared at me and the well intently, conjuring up wishes they could wish for. I feel someone's eyes looking at me and I look around to meet Carl's eyes. I guess he had joined me and the kids while I was spacing out in Disney Land. He just smiled at me then looked at the well. " I remember that song. My mom made me watch the whole movie when I was little." he said with a small laugh. "Well, I'll see you around then." he said then walked away. The all the kids dispersed because it was around lunch time. All except for little Emily. I guess I was spacing out and she spoke up. " Carl is handsome, don't you think miss (Y/N)?" She said with a little innocent smile. " Uh... I guess so." I said not wanting to say she was wrong because I've seen little kids get into arguments and they can last a while. "And, sweetheart, you don't have to call me miss, you can just call me (Y/N), ok?" I said smiling and leaning down to her level. "Ok!" She said skipping off to her house because her mom had called her in for lunch. ' Carl is pretty handsome. ' I thought. A smile tugs at my mouth as I remember him and all of his little quirks. "Something funny?" The deep voice pulls me out of my thoughts. I turn around to see Noah, his tall figure shadowing me from the sun. " Oh, hi Noah. And I was just remembering some fond memories." I said with a smile and a small sigh. " Yah. I always like that, when you have those little moments of peace, when you remember all of the good things. Those are rare now-a-days." he said smiling down at me. I smile back up at him. We both sit down on the edge of the well and talk for quite a while, and I gets a little emotional. Noah gets really deep into what happened to his parents and starts to choke up. I hug him comfortingly and rub the center of his back soothingly to try ad calm him down. After a little while it seems to work and he pulls away and wipes the tears from his eyes. He smiles at me and says, "Thanks (Y/N), I really needed that." "No problem." I say with a comforting smile. We talk about some more uplifting things and by the end of the day, we are rolling on the ground laughing so hard it hurts a little. We get up and walk back to the house have some dinner and go out separate was and go to bed, not knowing that a slightly jealous Carl had been watching us for like, half of the day. 'Today was a good day. ' I thought as I drifted of to sleep.
