From the moment Levi's eyes fluttered open and he had instinctively shifted onto his right side—expecting Eren—he knew something about today felt...odd. It wasn't the lack of his boyfriend's presence that planted the sensation into his chest and stomach, but something purely indescribable. Something that made him slowly sit up, perplexed, and eager to find out what this feeling is...eager to find the seed within him and yank it out. It was bothersome, both in a exciting and anxiety-inducing way.
Just as he was about to get up and out of bed, the bedroom door slowly creaked open. The raven's head snapped over, his eye's immediately taking in the sight of his lover stepping inside, although he too noticed the wooden tray in his hands. Eren carefully held it by the metal handles on the side, and on the tray itself were various plates of food as well as a beverage on the side. This alone perplexed him even more, because although it isn't uncommon for the brunet to serve him breakfast in bed...already, this sensation in his chest and stomach had him on edge. It was clear he's very...in tune.
Eyeing his boyfriend's face alone intensified the sensation, as if hough he was forgetting something. Which, the more he thought about, the more he realized that's exactly what this was. But what could it be? Why couldn't he remember? In general, why has he been forgetting more things lately? If he could groan right now, he would. But he didn't, mostly because Eren was already in the room and he didn't want him to think he meant his frustration toward this act of love. Instead, Levi simply stayed sitting on the bed as the taller man neared with a tender, loving smile on his face.
"Good morning, my love." He told the raven as he set the tray upon his lap, those turquoise irises of his looking extra vibrant today. Maybe it was just Levi, but he couldn't ignore those dilated pupils either. Eren was and always has been a very passionate person, it's who he is overall. But again, for some reason, Levi feels off. Curious.
"Morning.." A groggy reply came from the raven. It was on the quiet side, but audible enough. He isn't a morning person, even though he's used to his body naturally waking up early—sometimes earlier than Eren. His unpredictable schedule caused predictable behavior, and the brunet sure knew how it navigate it by now.
Once Eren walked back toward the door to shut it properly, he returned his attention toward the seated man and stepped over with careful movement. He sank himself down onto the mattress beside his lover, a hand moving to fix those messy black locks—adjust a few strands that were on his face—then graze his thumb down Levi's cheek. Soft flesh. The kind that reminded Eren of how well the raven takes care of his skin.
"..thank you." His smooth voice broke their momentary silence, and his gray-blue eyes flickered from those intoxicating turquoise ones back down to the tray holding plates, and plates with food he enjoys. They were simple, something he usually indulges in on weekends...which is also something Eren knew. That click in Levi's head made things even more confusing.
"Of course." Eren leaned in while smiling way too much, and pressed a kiss to Levi's temple. A hand ran through the dark locks once more, his fingertips caressing his lover's scalp and his forehead pressing against his. Again, the brunet is usually a very passionate person—this is nothing new. But today, things just felt...so much more different. Every move he made, Levi watched, and regardless of his skepticism...he melted into every touch, kiss, look, and act of love.
"I'll see you a little later, okay? I gotta go help Hange with something." He giggled lowly, like if hiding something from him, and was quick to get up and slip out of the room with ease. He didn't even hesitate, he seemed excited just based off his tone and body language. Levi took note, though didn't try to break his head over this odd sensation, purely because he knew he'd cause himself a headache otherwise. Instead, he focused his attention on his food. Picking up the fork, he stabbed at the eggs first. He chewed every bite slowly, going into the french toast by cutting it into strips and eating it with greater pleasure. There was maple sausage links, bacon, and a plate of fresh fruit on the side—a traditional American breakfast he adjusted to since moving to this country.
