Ophiuchus Rho Potter

5 - Draco Malfoy

Lucius comes back into the parlour carrying a little blonde boy in his arms who is shyly hiding in his father's long hair. “This is Ophiuchus and his nephew Harry, remember I told you about them” Lucius coos down at his son and smiles when Draco nods shyly still hiding in his hair. “He’s a bit shy when meeting new people.” Lucius tells the Potter’s as he walks over to where they are sitting.

“How very cute.” Ophiuchus chuckles at the little Malfoy’s behaviour before smiling up at his best friend. “Fatherhood suits you, Lucy.”

Lucius blushes at Ophiuchus’ comment before sitting down beside him on the floor. After sitting down he notices the plush snake that Harry is holding onto. “I see you found the Ophiuchus plush.” He says to Harry who nods quickly with a bright smile on his face, he notices the older Potter arch a brow at the plushes name. “If you look closely into its eyes you will see the Ophiuchus constellation.” Lucius explains to the two whilst sending the older Potter a cheeky smirk.

“Oh really.” Ophiuchus asks with his own smirk and looks closer at the snakes eyes and sees that they do indeed have his constellation in them. “Well I'll be, the person who got this made must be quite the fan.” Ophiuchus leans back and looks at Lucius who is smiling at him again.

“Indeed, It was worth every galleon I paid the artisan.” Lucius confirms whilst tilting his head slightly with a fond smile. Draco looks up at his father with an expression of surprise on his face, he then looks at Ophiuchus who is smiling back at Lucius just as fondly before looking at his father again. Harry notices the other 4 year olds expression and also looks at the two adults.

“Faher.” The two adults look down at Draco in slight surprise as he looks up at his father and tugs on his shirt a little, no longer hiding.

“Yes, Draco. What's wrong?” Lucius asks as an expression of worry takes over his features. Draco points at his father's face, making the man very confused. “Faher Happy.” Draco says with a bright close-eyed smile.

Lucius is shocked for a moment before he smiles back at his son. “Yes, your father is very happy right now.” He agrees as he fondly strokes his sons hair.

Ophiuchus smiles as he watches the two. “You make Faher happy, stay here now.” Draco says whilst pointing at him. Ophiuchus let's out a laugh whilst Lucius tries to explain to Draco that he can't say that.

“That was my plan.” Ophiuchus tells Draco with a grin, which causes the young boy to nod in satisfaction before turning to Harry.

Draco gets up off his father's lap and stands before Harry whilst holding out his hand. “Come, I will show you my favrot toys.”

“Go on.” Ophiuchus tells Harry after the boy looks up at him for permission. Harry nods before climbing out of his lap and accepting Draco’s hand. Draco pulls him over to the toys pile and begins to show Harry toys and explain them to him.

The two adults move back to the love seat whilst keeping an eye on the boys. “I'm glad that Draco has accepted you both so quickly, he's usually quite weary of people.” Lucius says as he leans into Ophiuchus’s shoulder.

Ophiuchus hmms as he watches the two boys happily chatting and playing together. “Kids do seem to like me quite a lot. It’s good to see them both being so carefree.” He responds whilst moving his arm over the back of the seat behind Lucius.

Lucius turns his head slightly to look closely at Ophiuchus. “You've been through quite a lot.” He can't help but comment, after seeing how tired and ragged the other man looks.

Ophiuchus smiles ruefully. “Yeah, it's been quite rough. Honestly thought I was going to die quite a few times and I lost people , good people. But I don't regret it, I honour them by living and carrying forward their legacy.”

Lucius looks at him sadly. “I'm sorry.” He pats his head lightly, like he used to when they were in Hogwarts, and watched as Ophiuchus nuzzled into his touch.

“Mm, it's nice being back though. I've truly missed you.” Ophiuchus mumbles whilst he nuzzle into the blondes hand and sends him a smile. Lucius smiles back at him before snuggling into his side and the two of them go back to watching the kids.

After a couple of hours of the boys playing together the two boys began to get tired so they moved over to the sofa where the adults are at and climbed onto their laps to take a nap.

Lucius caught Ophiuchus up on everything that he had missed that wasn't in the files that he read last night and answered some of his questions. He explained that his father had forced him to become a Death Eater but after he made it into Voldemorts inner circle and learnt the real purpose behind what they were doing he decided to stay. Though he mainly only helped out as a medic since he's really not fond of violence.

After a while a house Elf pops into the room and informs them that lunch is ready. Lucius thanked the House Elf before gently waking up Draco.

Ophiuchus did the same waking up Harry before pulling him into his arms so that he can carry him to the dining room.

Lucius leads them once again to the family dining room and lowers Draco into his seat. Ophiuchus sits down beside Lucius, opposite Draco, and places Harry into the seat beside him.
