The carriage stopped at a clearing and you take a step outside for a breath of fresh air. Choi Han followed along with the cats.

"We'll make a stop here for the night," Cale said as he stepped out of the carriage. Cale shoos Choi Han away to help the others with preparing. The noble walks over to you and you turn to look up at him.

"You'll be sleeping in my tent today." He stated. You titled your head and hummed. Usually, you would sleep with Choi Han and the rest of the knights.

Cale continued speaking before you could ask: "Choi Han will be in taking the Night Watch today. It would be safer if you are to sleep with me."

It seemed like a fair reason... somewhat. Even Cale knew that he was stretching a small bit. He just wanted an excuse to cuddle with you. Aside from riding in the carriage... The two of you didn't really interact as much as the noble would have liked. Though there wouldn't be much to talk about for either of you. You couldn't remember parts of your life whilst Cale knew everything about you.

Cale thought he can fill in some of the gaps but it was difficult. The noble was conflicted over what he could and couldn't tell you. Recalling the first time you two properly met, he could see how poorly you handled information about your existential crisis. Ah, it would be worse if he told you even more about it...

Would you react well if you found out the real reason for your red hair?

Cale couldn't bear the thought to be the reason for causing you to cry. He'll just choose to tell you the good things he thought. Cale tapped his chin as you excused yourself to join Choi Han in setting up the camp. The noble couldn't help but recall the question his father asked you.

[Are you related to anyone with the last name of Thames?]

The redhead's eyes drifted towards your rust red hair. Could they be connected?... The noble shook his head as he brushed off his possibly dangerous line of thinking. Cale would refuse to believe the one in a million chance.

There was no possible way you two could be related, right?

The trash noble fanboy would rather die than believe that to be fact. Sure, Kim Rok Soo was sure he had no relations with you. But as Cale Henituse? That would be another story. When he woke up as the trash noble, the first thing that he admired the most about his new body was his red hair. It reminded him of you. Though the shades of red were different, the fanboy still felt a little bit of joy at the thought of having some similarities to you.

Being similar to you was one thing, people loved to cosplay their favorite characters. It's normal for fanboys such as himself. But being related? It disturbed Cale to his core. Perhaps it was because the man idolized you so much. He didn't want his reputation as a trash noble to tarnish you. No, you were too important to Cale for such a thing.

The young master sighed. He was thinking too deeply over something so trivial. Cale decided to wait for night to come. In the meantime, he'll prepare a story to tell you and the cats.

"I'm tired nya!"

"Me too! I really want to sleep nya!"

"Mhmmm. Same here." you said as the two cats cuddled up to you. You lay on the soft mat prepared as you waited for Cale. The cats both sat on your abdomen, curled atop as they stared out the tent entrance. You didn't really help much with setting up camp. Every time you tried to offer help you were just told to do menial things.

Not that you were complaining. There was too much hard labor that would cause you to keel over in exhaustion within the first 5 minutes. Maybe you should actually exercise...
