“What do you mean you’re keeping him?” Cale said while tapping his foot. He glared at the servant who came out of the carriage without you. The redhead could feeling a growing headache from the back of his head as he listened to the servant.
“His highness requested that your servant stay longer. He promised to return (Y/N) to you during the banquet at the Palace of Joy. As well as your consent to…” The servant froze up for a second under Cale's gaze. The trash fanboy was annoyed. What the hell what would the prince want his consent for?!
Gasp!
Oh no…
"Does he plan to take my servant away from me?" Cale muttered in a soft tone.
The servant sqealed at Cale's growing irritation.
Never! Cale was never going to give you anyone else! He was the one who found you! Why does he have to give you away?!
"Cale-nim" Choi Han, who had just recently received a beating from Lock's beast awakening, had followed Cale outside. The korean seemed mostly fine apart from the dust that clung to his clothes and ruffled hair.
Oh wonderful. Was Choi Han going to beat him up since you weren't here like he promised? The swordsman glanced between Cale and the servant.
"Is (Y/N)?..." both Cale and the servant flinched at the threatening aura coming from Choi Han. It didn’t sit right with Cale the most. The noble already knew the korean was protective towards you but ever since he had returned something was strange…
Cale sighed, the servant seemed ready to pass out from Choi Han's overwhelming pressure. Seems like the redhead will have to be the one to calm the swordsman down. "Go back inside. We still have to talk about your report. I'll handle this." Cale said.
The black haired man glanced at him before sighing. His hand tightly gripping onto the scabbard. "I understand Cale-nim…" Choi Han muttered before waking back inside.
The servant exhaled in relief as Choi Han left. "Why does the Crown Prince require my consent?"
At Cale's question the servant straightened themselves. "He wanted to present your servant along with our beloved Phoenix during the festival! It seems like our precious bird had taken a liking to your servant. His highness was rather reluctant to seperate the two of them especially since it made our Phoenix so happy."
What a convoluted reason. But it wasn’t wrong from what Cale knew. If that Phoenix really did belong from your world, then that bird must be Solaris.
Solaris, the Vermillion Bird, was Surta's pathfinder and that world's sun god. Based on the word's of this servant, that damned bird recognized you. If that were the case, that version if Solaris existed in a world where the two of you met.
It's very likely that Surta had already died hundred of years ago. He was a human after all. Simply based on the story Taylor had told, Surta had died, leaving his pathfinder behind. Pathfinders were unique mystical beings bounded to the soul. Only the gods had the ability to chose whom they bind their soul to. Surta was the only one to have inherited the powers of the Sun God Solaris in the novel.
So… what about you? Would it be possible to bind your soul to Solaris? Would you be able to gain the powers of the Sun God? That would be a massive level up. But… that damned bird already has a reputation in the Roan kingdom.
If Cale were to give his consent in presenting you during the festival, that would put a target on your back. Not only will the Roan kingdom know that you exist, but the entire world will know you.
The existence of Solaris was enough to put Cale at unease. It confirmed one theory in his mind. That there are people from your world who are displaced in this world. Even worse they're not in the same world you are from. So its very likely you will meet people who either still see you as a threat or…
