People continued to stare at your backs for a brief moment. Cale wasn't bothered by this as he looked around the crowd for their reactions. Shock and disbelief was all on their faces. The only two faces that showed anything other than that were the Crown Prince and Venion.
Cale briefly narrowed his eyes as they met with Venion's. The horror and anger in his face was telling enough. He really was the bastard who reported you. The trash fanboy took a mental note before looking at the Crown Prince.
Unlike everyone in the room, the Crown Prince was the only one smiling at the revelation. It unnerved Cale how conniving the prince can be. The redhead mentally cursed at himself for not bothering to look into more fables around Surta. Had he looked into it more...
"Now that our owl has returned to his master. This prince is that all of you, who are all precious individuals who will make this kingdom shine, and the future leaders of our kingdom, have come to bear witness to such a momentous occasion." Alberu said with a smile.
Keeeeee-aarrrrrhh
Creeeaaakk
Before Alberu could continue, the phoenix suddenly screeched as the doors opened once again. Cale looked towards the door and almost let out a sigh of relief. Finally, they had arrived.
People were baffled once again as Taylor and Cage appeared. Even more so towards Taylor. That wheelchair... it was moving all on its own! Cage walked by his side towards the center of the room.
By this point, you were able to tear your head away from Cale's hold as he relaxed. The young master glanced at you for a moment to catch you smiling towards Taylor. You sighed in relief, your eyes were focused more on the wheelchair than the exchange between Taylor and Alberu.
"Thank goodness... The wheelchair didn't blow up..." you muttered softly enough for only the black dragon and Cale to hear.
Huh?
Blow up?
Now that Cale thought about it... Didn't the novel you...
'Weak human, what does (Y/N) mean by blow up? Can (Y/N) also destroy things?' Cale ignored the dragon's question as a shiver went down his spine. There are multiple times where your inventions and experiments have gone awry during the novel.
Why does it feel like it's a miracle no one has died by your invention?
"Your highness, my legs may not move but my hands, head, eyes, ears, mouth, and everything else are still very much alive." Taylor paused for a moment as his hand rested on the crank of the wheelchair.
"No, in fact, they're stronger than before."
Alberu had a small smile on his face. He couldn't help but notice it. That wheelchair was something you made wasn't it? It looked similar to the drawings he found that were randomly stuffed into your bag. Seeing it in action made him realize just how wonderful you could truly be, "... I see. Indeed, you are still alive."
Keeeeee-aarrrrrhh
It was even more wonderful how many avenues had opened up for the crown prince to reach you. People watched in surprise as the legendary phoenix flew from his perch to land on the backrest of Taylor's wheelchair. It was looking at the machinery curiously. Did the bird also recognize it? Even better.
"Hm? It seems our phoenix has taken an interest in your wheelchair. It was astounding you had made it move on its own." Alberu added as he glanced at you. You were focused on the wheelchair as well.
