Author's Note:
This is the first story I've written in years, so excuse if I'm a little rusty.
This is a Y/N story, you play the part of a nurse. If you have any requests, by all means let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Hope you enjoy~

~~On to the story~~

Y/N pov:

"Today is so gloomy..." I mutter to myself, begrudgingly dragging myself out of bed to get ready for work.
Being a nurse is hard work, and even a few hours of sleep isn't enough to recharge my battery, but bills must be paid.

Groggily smearing toothpaste on my brush, I begin to scrub my teeth. Checking the clock in the mirror, I panic.
"6:15pm?! I'm gonna be late!" I yell to myself, scrambling to brush my teeth then running to my room and getting into my scrubs.

Grabbing an apple, along with my lunch, and my bag, I run out of the house, almost forgetting to lock the door.

After fumbling with my keys I finally get my car unlocked, on, and away to work. I check the time on my watch "okay, 6:30pm, I should make it just on time, if traffic is kind to me."

I anxiously tap the steering wheel as I wait at a light. I've only got five minutes before I have to clock in, but I'm so close!

Quickly finding a place to park, I run inside to the staff locker room, panting as I check my watch. "Yes! Two minutes to spare" I say with relief and clock into work.

Walking to the nurse station in my department, I sigh as I see Kat speed walk in and to the staff lockers "good, I'm not the only one who was late" I mutter to myself, giggling a little knowing she barely made it here on time as well.

A couple hours pass, the evening is relatively calm, nothing too hard to handle. As I'm getting back from my lunch break, I'm called to the ER to help with a shooting victim, Officer Fenik, who has three wounds, one in his leg, shoulder, and arm.

'Woah, this guy is tall' I think to myself, looking up at the 6'2 man in front of me, he has fluffy brown hair, and a strong jawline, not to mention he's the most muscular man I've ever seen.
He smiles at me with a goofy little grin, "sorry, I'm making a mess" he chuckles.

I'm silent for a moment, entranced by his smile and his scent, 'is that... Lavender?' I think to myself before snapping back to reality.
"Oh, it's fine, that's what mops are for. Please, sit on the bed so I can check you over."
With that he plops down onto the gurney.
'well here's the excitement of the shift I guess.' I think to myself as I begin checking his vitals and responses.
