"You're serious?!" I exclaim in delight.

"Mhmm," she nods, "come sit, I have so much to tell you!" Her warm hand clasps mine and leads me over to the couch. The most comfortable couch I've ever sat on.

I look around and see Bob Marley posters, a Cheech and Chong DVD on the floor, and a tie dye tapestry hanging up, "it kinda smells like weed in here," I laugh and she blushes, her white Afro growing pink.

Ah, her Afro changes with her emotions.

"Well, it's a all natural stress reliever," She laughs as she shrugs her shoulders, but this laugh is unlike the child like giggle I remember. This one is mature and filled with sincerity. "But it's been a long time, mama." She leans in and hugs me tenderly.

All those years ago the little girl I remember had adopted the habit of calling me that. I loved it and still do. For centuries I hadn't had the pleasure of having children of my own. "Oh, my baby," tears well in my eyes and I hug her as best I can with my baby bump in the way. My mama wolf hormones are really taking over. "What happened, how're you here and how are you Mother Nature?"

"Calm down, mom, I'll tell you everything," we pull away from each other. "Me dying was really me being reborn. That was my temporary vessel."

"What do you mean?" I ask as confused as ever.

"The most powerful being... isn't you. It's me. I created the moon goddess, and every other God. I've been alive far longer than any type of human roamed the earth. I had been looking to see who your mother would get pregnant with to replace her and I found you. I wanted to find someone who I had a genuine relationship with and I could tell was a good person. It didn't dawn on me who you were though. As for the whole you and your mate and friends dying over and over again, that- that I was unknowing of. Um," she looks away nervously. "You were the first vampires and werewolves created by me and the Moon Goddess, but you all were supposed to stay dead when you first died. I never intended for you all to keep living and dying. I wanted for you to find peace with your mate. But Ares, that dickhead thought he'd have some fun with you guys." She finishes telling me.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" I scream as I stand up, furious. "I'm going to kill him," I growl as I march to the door.

"Already done!" She calls after me. I turn around to find her smirking, "I have no mercy for those who hurt my family, especially my mother."  She sashay's over to me and places her hand on my cheek, "these babies..." she looks down at my stomach and places her other hand onto my stomach, making it glow, "my brothers and sister, are even more powerful than me.. it wasn't just you and Hero that created them, I put a little work into that as well. They will bring peace and happiness amongst all. And you will live, to raise these babies and be happy. As you deserve." Tears stream down her face. "I am so, so sorry for what happened to you."

I bring her into my arms as she sobs, "it's okay my sweet girl. Everything will work out now and I'll get to be with my mate. I am happy."
.
.
.

"WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?!"

Okay, maybe I'm happy but a bit irritated with this man's loud voice.

"Josephine," he stalks over to me where I stand in front of the door and places his hands on the door on either side of my head, caging me in. "You better fucking tell me where you disappeared to for three days." He growls, Hardin surfacing.

Oh yeah, I also found out time moves a whole lot slower in that realm.

I place a hand on his chest, running it up and down, "you're so hot when you're mad." I bat my eyelashes up at him. His breathing sharpens and becomes ragged as I lightly skim my lips against him.

"I-I know what you're d-doing," he stutters, his eyes fluttering closed.

"Mhmm," I hun, trailing my lips down to the front of his throat, his weak spot, "and what am I doing?" I whisper.

"You're, you're, you're trying to distract m-me." He sounds like he's on the verge of tears.

"Am I?" My hands caress his waist.

Suddenly his hand is on my neck and I'm pinned on the door. His face comes down right in front of mine. "Where. Were. You?" Black takes over his eyes.

"I was visiting a old friend," I tell him simply.

"WHO?!" He demands. "Josephine I swear-"

"1918, when me and you met. Do you remember who I told you about?" I ask him instead of answering.

His brows furrows as he thinks thoughtfully. "A girl. You said she was like a daughter to you, but she died. Her name was Amara and we visited we grave often in Brooklyn." He backs away before I snap my fingers, a picture appearing in my hand.

It's of me and her. We were standing in front of the factory, her little arm was wrapped around my waist while my hand closest to her was on top of her head. Her silhouette is blurry because she couldn't stay still long enough for the photograph to be taken.

I hand him the picture and he smiles softly at it, running his thumb over my figure. "You went by Daisy," he chuckles.

"I saw her again," tears well in my eyes. "And she told me some great things." I place my hands on his face. "This is our chance, love. This is our true life."

"Really?" His green eyes grow big and he resembles a little kid looking at cake. I nod and he picks me up, twirling me around in his arms. "Yes! Wait, how does she know?" A slight pout forms on his face.

"Would you believe me if I said she was Mother Nature?"
