Hero POV:

I've lost track of how many days I've been in this room, Felix coming into visit and giving me my daily dose of wolfspain is the only thing reminding me that I'm still alive.

Hardin has become silent, cries and howls every once in a while are the only sound heard from him. We share the same pain. It feels like every single hour, my heart is ripped out and stomped on.

Over and over again.

I look forward to the day when my mate can be enclosed in my arms again and I can I finally breathe.

Meanwhile... Josephine POV:

"How are you going to help me out?" Mercy asks me curiously.

I look into her brown eyes, "do not fret, child of mine, you need no such worry. Let's take a seat." I instruct her. Right away, she sits back down into one of the wooden theater seats and I follow suit, I then take her hands in mine. "Now, I know this may seem hard for you, but I'm going to need to you to become conscious again."

"No, I can't go through that. This is where I am safe." She tells me with much determination.

"But you are not truly safe!" I close my eyes briefly, "I am going to give you the strength I have left. I will still be in you mind watching you and guiding you. But your going to have to use my strength wisely to get out of this horrid place. Okay?"

Mercy becomes quiet and thinks for a moment, finally she takes a deep breath, "okay," she whispers almost in audibly.

Now, here I am sitting in the back of Mercy's mind as she disappears and becomes conscious. I watch through her eyes as she painfully opens them with a groan. As she looks around the dark and dirty room my heart breaks for her.

It's coated in her blood and mold. Disgusting.

I take a deep breath and feel my strength starting to slip away from me and into her. Mercy bolts up straight from both surprise and the feeling of my power in here.

"What the fuck?!" She whispers yells to herself and me.

"No time to be distracted, get up and open that door." I tell her.

"But it's locked, like locked really well, I've never been able to get it open."

"That was then, this is now. Just. Try." I instruct her. Slowly she gets up from the dirt layered floor and limps over to the door, shakily she grips the handle and with one little yank the door flys off it's hinges.

She squeals in surprise then looks down at her hands in front of her. "How did I do that?" She questions.

"I shall tell you when this is over. Now, I'll be taking control." I push through so that we are both in control, much like it would be when you share control with your wolf.

I feel one of her eye colors turn to mine and I smirk. "Let's have some fun." I stalk out of the room into the dark corridor where I am met with five pairs of fearfull eyes. "Hello boys," me and Mercy's voices are mixed along with my wolfs and sounds deeply dangerous but also sexy as fuck.

The finger nails on Mercy's hands extend and what her face becomes gives me a answer to my earlier question.

Mercy is a vampire. But even for a vampire she feels different to me, I tend to find out why but for now I will use her abilities to our advantage. The men's faces turn to fear for a few seconds but then they cover it up with mock fearlessness and charge at us, I combine me and Mercy's speed and within a blink of a eye.... they are both mutilated and drained of their blood.

We release the last dead man from her hands and I retreat from the frontline.

"What the actual fuck?" Mercy asks with a bloody mouth

"What the actual fuck?" Mercy asks with a bloody mouth.

"Come on move, we need to get out of here. We have people to see." I tell her and smirk to myself, excited to see my mate. "And now since you got some blood in you, you will be even stronger."

"Why?" She questions.

I think for a moment, "do you not know what you are?" I asked puzzled. She shakes her head 'no'. "Your a vampire. Now we can talk about that later. Move your ass or else I will be taking control of your body." I demand now irritated at the lack of movement from her, I have a mate to see and she has a brother to see. And besides, I know time moves slower when your in a subconscious state like that. So in real world time it's been approximately two weeks since I've been gone. It's crazy but it's how it works.

Mercy stocks down the dark corridor and comes upon a set of cement stairs that lead up to a gross looking door with light spilling out from underneath. Bingo. Not used to walking up stairs with her new found power, Mercy flies up the stairs and into the door completely smashing it. Looking around not paying much attention to the now destroyed door, we see that we are in a really nice house.

I was expecting something much much worse to be behind the door. "Charles?" An elderly woman's voice calls out. We stay silent.

A tall woman with black hair and familiar green eyes with wrinkles rounds the corner. Her and Mercy make eye contact. "Grandma?" Mercy speaks in confusion.

Well shit.

Note from author❤️:

Wow. This chapter really fucking sucks. I don't why, but it was just so hard for me to write, hence why it took over three months to be published but um yeah it's not on hold anymore I guess.

I'm still on a break from writing I think but I just really wanted to get a chapter of this out. And well here's a short shitty chapter lol.

You know you love me xoxo,
Zoë
