"So who were allies to the Felidae? Anyone?"
Mariko, a turtle, put his hand up to answer the question.
"The Aves, the amphibians, the testudinidae, Equidae, lagomorphs, mustelidae and rodents!" he replies
"And what about the allies to Canidae?"
Irkako, a bear, put her hand up to answer the question.
"Ursidae, reptiles,Cervidae, Rhinos, Elephants, Hippos,Chiroptera and primates!' She replies.
"Good! Now can anyone explain who won the Metazoa war and the impact it had on society today?" The teacher asks.
Chrissie then puts her paw up.
"The Felidae and their allies had won the Metazoa war and had taken over the empire of most of the states of Xanixir which lead to Felidae and some of their allies to oppress the Candiae and some of their allies and then later on another war had started between the states where predatory animals were against prey animals and oppression was built up which lead to the Xanixir society to be like what is present today."
The whole room was silent. Chrissie was so smart she could easily analyse texts from any book.
The class was clapping for Chrissie.
"Well done Chrissie, that was PERFECT! You must really pay attention in your English studies." Mr Rickley said, He was our substitute History teacher.
Although us animals do have our own languages, we still use human languages to communicate with each other. English,Japanese and Spanish are the most popular human languages that we speak here on Xanixir. But each species has its own language. Canidae (Wolves, foxes, dogs, dingoes, etcetera) have our own language to communicate with our species. Us Canidae's language is called Canidanian. It isn't called Canidian since that sounds too much like Canadian, which is what you call a person from a place called Canada for humans. Ours is similar to Felidae, (Cats, lions, lynx etcetera) as their language is called Felidaninan.
We can be called Canines or Canidae.
As the lesson ended, Mr Rickley called out my name and pulled his hoof out to tell me to come over to him, so I did. He crouched down, with his nose next to my ear, he started whispering and I could feel his hot breath into the fluffs of my ear.
"I know what happened last night with you and Trent. I live in an apartment right behind the bridge and I saw you two on the ground." He whispered.
"But nobody else saw or knows that this happened. But I won't tell anyone else, otherwise Trent would be in trouble and he was just showing self defence."
"And since only I saw, I think Trent deserves some justice, don't you think?"
It was lunchtime, I was supposed to be in detention. If the teachers didn't know why I was gone they would believe that I had skipped detention and I would be in even more trouble. I would probably have to have a meeting with the king since he decided for this to happen to me.
There was no one else in the room. Everyone else had left and gone off for lunch. It was only me and Mr Rickley. I could sense that something was off. Mr Rickley went over and locked the door and closed the blinds. Was I afraid? Yes but no at the same time.
"He's a horse. I'm a wolf. He doesn't have anything on me."
Next thing you know he's got his arm wrapped around my neck and he's pushing me against the table. He's got a pen in both hooves and I can feel the piercing sharp nib trying to get through my skin. There's no blood but only intense movement in the room. He's grabbing on my neck and pulling me into him as I fall to the ground, snout hits flat on the carpet. He has his back hoof on my neck, just like what Trent had done. He kneels in front and grabs my face and slaps it hard. Just like what Trent had done. His blonde mane is swishing against my forehead, going over the tips of my 'eyelids.' He's strong but he isn't going to beat me. I push back up with my claws gripping onto the carpet as I get up off my knees and I'm back up on my feet again. I'm back ready to fight again but an announcement goes over the loudspeaker.
"Hello Everyone this is just an announcement for Panic Black to please come to the office now. Panic Black? To the office now please. Thank you."
Mr Rickley suddenly stares at me. He's got a red hot face as red as those apples that you find at the grocery shop that you know are really sweet.
I beg. "Mr Rickley. Please. I don't want to fight, I need to leave please."
He goes to unlock the door as I step out, he goes down into the uncomfortable position again and whispers.
"You're in so much trouble, dog."
Don't call me dog.
As I enter the front desk of the office, Mr Crowelle and Mrs Wellton are standing at the door, waiting for me. It's because I didn't attend the detention. All I was hoping for was that they weren't going to take me to the Scarlett castle, but luckily, I wasn't because King Karglia was already there. Though it wasn't a good sign.
I never skipped detention before. I was too afraid of what would happen if I did, but I guess I will find out today. And yes, I was extremely scared. King Karglia was a very strong and smart tabby cat. He's a very stubborn person though.
All the old animals sat down as I was left to stand in front of them, a small bit far away because it was the king. My ears and my head stayed low. They all looked at eachother, then looked at me. They were all so serious because I missed detention. How sad. My long black tail swept between my legs, My knees bent a small bit and my feet parallel with both claws on each of my sides. I did not speak. I was not allowed to speak at all if I was in the king's presence. I had to stay with a bowed head. It felt awkward, but it was what I had to do, out of respect for royalty. Although with the aspect of royalty, in a year I had no idea what was coming.
"It seems that you did not attend detention this lunchtime, Panic. Care to explain why?" Crowelle asks.
Mrs Wellton suddenly nudges him lightly.
"She isn't allowed to speak in his majesty's presence, Joseph." She whispers, their whiskers touching.
I had spoken in his presence before. I broke a rule. When he was holding down my father and possibly abusing him but we aren't going to mention that. Otherwise I'll be in bigger trouble.
I know that if Mr Rickley had come and explained the situation I still wouldn't be spared from whatever the replacement punishment would be.
"Oh, right. Well whatever reason it is would not be an excuse so you can spend the rest of the day here at school with us, and we have some very special things in store for you girl. And boy oh boy you aren't going to like it." Mr Crowelle says.
What? What were they possibly going to do? Pin me to the ground and beat my ass? I wasn't scared. In situations I try my hardest to stay positive but most of the time those emotions turn negative. Being sensitive is like being trapped in a cage, where even one little thing can turn your days upside down and there's no escape. It's like you're drowning in your own tears and you don't know why. You see or hear one thing and your stomach suddenly churns and you start losing your breath. Sensitivity was something that carried on for most of my life. One little thing and you'll remember for the rest of your life and it'll come up at the most random times.
And just at this moment I was drowned in my own thoughts and tears and I was distracted by everything in the past and suddenly I'm pushed to the ground and I've lost my hearing, my movement and my sight. I'm having one of those attacks like I did when I killed Lemon. I was hoping that I wasn't going to hurt any of them, especially the king. It didn't last very long, only for five seconds I could see, move and hear again. But it wasn't a very good thing. I woke up to screaming in my ear. It seemed that none of the adults were hurt. They were all in their exact places. All I could see was Mr Crowelle with his foot on my chest, screaming at me and King Karglia and Mrs Wellton on the other side of the table, sitting and watching. My hearing was slowly coming back as the yelling started to get louder and louder. His voice was strong and I could feel my heart pumping fast. I don't know if this is what they meant when they were talking about how they had something special in store but I suggested not because he was screaming "Are you listening to me?" so it was definitely not it.
I could tell anger was filling in the room. The king and Mrs Wellton looked like they were getting cross with me. I couldn't speak. The king was still here, in the room.
"Answer me you little bitch!" He screams, stomping real hard onto my stomach. I then scrambled around and sat on my shins and I started to cough hardly.
"She will not talk, Crowelle. I do not want to hear her voice." King Karglia says. "Do not answer him. I do not want to hear one little word from you. Just do as you're told."
I nod as an alternative to saying 'yes'.
King Karglia then stands up and walks over to me and he stares for a minute, then speaks.
"Stand up."
I do as he says. I am wobbly and I can barely stand straight.
He then swivels my body around, using my shoulder with my back facing him. He puts his paws under my armpits and picks me up with my face over his shoulder. He was huge so he could hold me like a newborn puppy easily. He's holding me up with his arm under my tailbone and they leave the room.
Suddenly we are in the stadium. It's empty and there are no more classes happening. The lights stay off and I'm on the floor while the teachers crowd around me.
I'm incredibly scared of what's about to happen. I have my snout on the ground, tears making a puddle on the stadium floor. The silence is so loud. I can feel the intense happening.
"I can't do this today. Please." I think in my head.
And what happened next is just so violent I can't even explain.
Today, on the 7th of March, was the day which predicted what the rest of my days were going to be like.
This is where it happens. When it happens. Why does it happen?
This was only the start of my story. But now, it gets worse.
It's time.
