"Stop fucking dreaming."
Something was speaking to me. In both my dreams and real life.
"Wake up. I need you."
I tried to open my eyes. For some reason, it was difficult to do so.
"I said wake up!"
That's when I suddenly sat up and gasped. I almost had lost my breath.
I thought I'd wake up to the beautiful afterlife again but I was somewhere else.
I was in an office, in a small, narrow room. I looked around to see if there was anything important until I caught my gaze to a photo in a frame. It was sitting upon the desk in front of me. It was a blurry photograph of someone. I felt a weird connection to it. I tried to examine the colours but all I could see was light brown, cream and purple. I definitely couldn't make out what It was so I thought none of it and ignored its significance.
I hopped out of the swivel chair and poked my head out of the door. There was only a long hallway with plants and chairs. The walls of the hallway were all clear glass in which you could see almost the whole city and the Great Karglia bridge or what the humans called, the west-gate bridge in the far distance.
I decided to walk down the hallway slowly, in case anything was going to happen. I looked around to see anything unusual but everything seemed to be fine. I always studied my surroundings and other hallways for whatever there could be. I knew something had to happen. I wasn't here for no reason.
As I almost got to the end of the corridor, I started to feel a tingling in my throat, then on my arms, then on my whole body. It felt like what it would feel if a spider crawled along you or the tip of someone's nails brushed along you. I started to feel a dizziness in my head and my knees felt weak. I stayed still for a while to calm it down but it got worse and I started to see starry lights.
It wasn't a BLACKOUT.
I felt the tips of her hooves touch my shoulder. The same nebula looking colours I'd seen from a weird looking spirit was flowing around me. That's when I knew who it was.
"Remember, this isn't a dream. You must live through your guilt no matter how much remorse you feel. You did it to me."
I didn't even look back nor did I hesitate to run. I didn't care that this was her,I knew what she wanted, and I knew she deserved it, but I was afraid of her getting it because I wouldn't know what would happen to me. She then followed and chased me down the corridor. She then changed to a regular looking spirit and ran like a regular deer, increasing her speed. I luckily dodged the wall as I almost ran into it and made a swift turn to the end of the corridor which led down the stairs. I rushed down but as I took one look behind me she was almost close enough to catch me.
I then started to enter the secure rooms of the place which also was in a layout of extended corridors so I rushed to the far north one and took a right turn into one of the rooms in which was cramped and had less space. I turned around to shut the door but it was too late. She'd already caught up and slammed the door behind her. I then began to back away to the back wall. My tail rested between my legs and my ears pricked backwards.
The running made my legs feel worse and my knees feel weaker so I then slid down the wall and dropped on them but then turned to sit on the back and relax my knees down.
I looked up at the girl. She looked older than I thought she was. She still only appeared as a child.
She then quickly snatched my snout, bringing it up close to hers. Nebula tears ran down her face, she had no iris or pupils, only just the pinkish-purple nebula eyes.
"Panic. Oh you fucking- ugh... I don't even know what to say."
My body quivered in her hooves.
"Finally! I got you! After all these years! Haha!"
My heart pounded. I wanted to speak but I was scared to.
Olivia smiled slightly, holding on both the wall and my face.
"You... you actually remember what happened. Finally, I can... I can make you greatly suffer. Like you already are!"
I now realised what she was saying. We were practically sisters. Even though she was only young and about three years old, we still had a strong bond.
What she didn't realise was that this reflected trauma on me as well.
But I guess she forgot who was leading me.
At this moment I started to flood tears that drowned my face and her hands.
I knew there was no chance she'd change. She'll only haunt me forever.
"Oh... sad aren't you? Why? Because you're in trouble now? Because vengeance has come for you?"
I just wish she would forgive me.
I pushed her hoof away from my face and then grasped the floor and bowed my head in front of her. I laid my head as low as I could.
"Liv... take it easy on me... please... I'm sorry."
I couldn't see her emotion but I could feel it and hear it.
"Take it easy? What the fuck? Are you serious? Panic, I will NEVER take it easy on you. You don't realise how serious of a crime that can be because you think you can get away with anything and blame it on the blackouts. You really are just like father aren't you. That's why he loves you so much. Because you both are like each other."
I look up and then sit up.
"Don't compare me to that bitch. I'm not like him. I never will be."
"Oh! But you are though? Don't you realise it? You're both killers. You both wanted to kill me. I know it. He didn't actually want to kill you, he wanted to test you to see if you really knew him. I don't care that you're his niece, you are the new Zephyr of the black family."
What... What was she saying?
"What do you mean?"
"You really don't know my father's motives, Do you?"
I wanted to be truthful with her. I wanted to show her I wasn't like him.
"I barely know him at all! He's your father, not mine."
She then laughed.
"That's funny, you should know what he's like because you're just like hi-"
That's when I grabbed ahold of his wrist and slammed it against the wall. She was unusually stiff for a spirit. The same kirahnian knife laid next to me but suddenly appeared in my hand, held up close to her neck.
"See! Just proved it, you really are like him aren't you? Going to kill me again? How pathetic. Just like him."
"And if you wanna be just like the fucker, I'll show you what you gotta go through. You just wait."
