XIV.

*3rd person

"So, why exactly are we here?" Hellene asked Nico who stood right next to her.

The whole camp was gathered around Thalia's tree so it really did seem like something went wrong.

"Fellow demigods, as you may know about a couple months ago Gea was defeated by The Seven demigods who Hera herself, sent on a quest," Chiron started as most of them were getting nervous, "Yesterday, we received--"

And that's when it happened. Rachel Elizabeth Dare stood up and a green fog covered most of the camp. Her eyes opened only to reveal a pair of bright green pupils. She pointed to Percy's sister so the croud separated and she was in the middle. She almost fainted but Nico locked his hand with hers.

"The daughter of the endless sea,
With help from friends will find the key,
Wrapping the truth in a lie,
She'll defeat the god of the sky."

Rachel's eyes turned back to normal as she fainted down on the ground. A couple of campers helped her get up.

But Hellene couldn't move. She felt like she had just been struck by lightning. She couldn't help but replay the prophecy in her head.

"Hell... Hell!" Nico whispered in her ear but she just looked up at him scared.

"Are you okay?" Percy shouted separating the crowd and pushing everyone on his way out of it.

He reached his sister and Nico and soon Annabeth followed. They were both worried so they hugged her and for a moment the three of them did seem like a family. And Hellene was the child that needed protection.

They pulled away and Annabeth already had a thoughtful look on her face. But she removed it once she turned back to the younger girl and smiled.

"Everything's going to be okay," She said with a soft look, "Me and Percy had been on a lot of quests and we're still alive so we'll do our best to help."

Percy nodded, "You shouldn't worry. Besides, I'm sure Nico will help you too in exchange for a couple more kisses like yesterday's one," Percy wiggled his eyebrows but the shadows around Nico became darker and darker so Percy put his hands up in defense.

"Were you spying on them?" Annabeth asked the son of Poseidon.

"No," He said but Annabeth raised an eyebrow, "Maybe.." She smiled, "Okay, fine, fine. You got me."

"I hate you, Big Brother." Hellene spoke for the first time.

Percy looked at Annabeth with a big smile on his face when he received his new nickname. Big Brother suited him.

"Okay, I think it's time to talk with Chiron." Nico said uncomfortable with seeing Percy and his sister hug. It reminded him way too much of both Hazel and Bianca.

"Yeah, that's a good idea." Annabeth nodded.

"I think we should first settle the amount of people who will go with you." Chiron suggested once all four of them arrived at the Big House.

"Five." Rachel said while all the others were deeply in thought.

"Why five?" Percy asked which caused all three of them to laugh at his brain capacity. Nico only smiled, "What?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Nico asked him.

"Are you going to play Sherlock Holmes or are you going to explain?" Percy shrugged and smiled.

"I guess explain but the role of the not-so-smart companion does suit you." Nico sassied back at him to which Percy made a grimase.

"Just so that you know, if you and Hellene marry I'm not giving you my blessing." The son of Poseidon narrowed his eyes at the boy who seemed hurt by that.

"Um, Seaweed Brain, even we still haven't married." Annabeth reminded his boyfriend.

"Putting the two marriages aside," Rachel started which made everyone else focus back on the quest, "Percy, you know that normally only three people are allowed to go but since you are four... We'll make an exception but four isn't a good number for the Greeks so it must be five, the closest to it."

"I understand." Percy nodded.

"Congratulations, Watson!" Nico rolled his eyes and they all laughed.

"I think we should go to dinner now. We'll think about the quest tomorrow." Annabeth suggested and they all headed to the dinning pavilion.
