Hellene's POV
The afternoon went on normally (as much as you would think is nomal to be a demigod). Nico finished our tour around. I finished meeting the Hermes kids which taught me that you should keep whatever's valuable for you closer than ever. We were nearly 13 people in the cabin and most of us slept on the floor. I was used to sharing space with friends but it was a little different about strangers.
It was time for dinner by the time I managed to complete my introductions. I was pretty sure I knew everybody but then he appeared.
I was walking around already getting lost but not giving up on finding the place for eating. I was so focused that I bumped into someone and didn't even realize.
"Hey, you can...." He started but met my sight and softened. "Hi, are you new?" He asked disguisimg the fact he was about to yell at me.
"Uh.. Yeah. Who are you?" I asked back.
"If you don't know me darling you're missing out." He said with all of his sassyness. "I'm Leo Valdez, Boy on fire, ya know."
I nodded insecure. I didn't want to offend the Lady-talker.
"You look lost." He finally spoke. "Come on I'll show you the way!"
He grabbed my arm gently and I even surprised myself for not pulling away. He walked mw down to where all the tables were. I sat on the Hermes one ignoring all glances coming from the kids watching me and Leo holding hands.
"I'll be in the Hephaestus cabin." He winked at me. "If you need a warm up you can just ask." He smiled and went to sit with his brothers and sisters.
Idiot. - I thought to myself. - But he's kinda cute.
I finished my dinner fast due to the fact that I wasn't hungry at all. I needed time to think so I decided the river will be the perfect place.
I walked down but I saw a boy sitting by it. I couldn't make out the figure so I got closer but he immediately understood I was here. He didn't move.
"Is it taken?" I asked when I reached next to him.
"Depends what you are asking about." I heard my response.
Since it was already getting dark I couldn't quite see him but I recognized him. It was Nico.
"Does it really depend?" I asjed as if it was something obvious.
"I guess not." He frowned and I cursed myself for not being able to shut my mouth. The boy obviously had enough problems. He didn't need me to deal with. "I saw you and Leo holding hands."
His words hit me like an electroshock. My face slowly became more and more red.
"It's not what it looks like." I said eventually.
"It's none of my business." He shrugged with a smile.
I was a bit hurt by that comment but he was a child of Hades so I should've gotten used to it.
