Paimon: "There you go! You're back safe and sound in Mondstadt!"Aether: "You know, you really shouldn't go exploring so far out into the wilderness by yourself."
Paimon: "That's right! It's dangerous out there for someone without a Vision like you!"
Y/N: "I know, I know! *sigh* Maybe I really don't have what it takes to be an adventurer after all..."
Aether: "Just take smaller steps."
Paimon: "That's right! Oh! Paimon knows! Why don't you go to the library and read up on some tips and tricks?"
Y/N: "I guess... I guess I've nothing to lose going back for some more reading. Thanks, thanks again you two."
Paimon: "Anytime! Best of luck!"
The two people who had saved me from that Mitachurl had then started walking off, with Paimon steering off towards the Good Hunter restaurant as the Traveller reluctantly followed behind her.
With nothing better to do, I heeded Paimon's advice and made my way for the Knights of Favonius Headquarters, home of the great Mondstadt library. I really wanted to be an adventurer... well, I wanted to be a Knight first, but I know I'm not ready to try out for that just yet, so I went for the second best thing.
And who knows? Maybe something great will come from it sometime in the future? But before I can even think of such a pleasant future, I've got to improve myself: combat and all!

Lisa: "Ah, cutie, you're back! Are you here to read, or are you finally going to take me up on my offer?"
Y/N: "Just to read today. I haven't given up on being an adventurer just yet!"
Lisa, the Librarian in charge of the books of this library. She always seems like quite the slothful, and lazy character... but if you dare not hand a book back on time... well, you better beware.
Fortunately, I had a decent enough reputation with her, always bringing back my books on time, and without damaging the books either. Now... where would I find a good book or two on adventuring...?
* SEVERAL HOURS LATER *
The pile of books on the table beside me was now growing to a very dangerous height. So I decided to take a break from my research and return the books I was finished with.
I'm not an idiot, and nor do I have any reason to rush. So I took only a reasonable handful of books at a time as I returned them. Fortunately, I read them in the same order I picked them up, so I didn't have to walk too far between returns.
A couple trips later and I had just shy of two trips worth of books left to put back.
I took a quick look around, and I couldn't see anybody else around who might prove to be a hazard as I took the risky amount of books in one go. So I decided to be a little bit foolish and picked up the larger than recommended haul of books.
. . .
But I took nary but a few steps away from the table before I heard a hurried pitter patter of a heeled shoe racing down the wooden stairs of the library.
I barely had time to react before—
* WHACK! *
That was the sound of this mysterious new entity in the library colliding into me. And the cause of me falling backwards onto the floor, with all the books that were in my hand now scattered around me.
