???: "There she is. As expected. It seems as if their assumption was correct: in that being 'Her Eternal Excellency' is indeed a creature of habit."

The masked figure, having now confirmed their mark, had started to make their way down from their perch atop the Tenshukaku. The extravagant palace from which the Electro Archon resides.

With several kunai of varying effects in their off-hand, they approached slowly and silently. Even an Archon would be none the wiser to the approaching threat... until it was too late that is.

The masked figure, still stalking their prey, couldn't help but revel in how easy it turned out to be to hunt down a God.

???: "Within a week, that's all it took to figure out your pattern and to find the best place to strike. When you are without your guards and yet still out in the open, I can attack without ever needing set foot upon the same floor as you."

The masked figure then took one of the many kunai from their off-hand and braced themselves in preparation of their attack. Each kunai was interlaced with a different type of poison. The first would inflict paralysis on the victim, the second type would numb all pain, and the third had enough toxicity within it to kill a far larger foe than some Archon.

Most assassins would forego the second type of poison, as most would care not about the pain their victim would feel in their last moments. Most assassins would just rely on their speed and effectiveness to mitigate the pain that these people would feel at their end...

Now in the perfect position, the masked figure then spoke to themselves out loud in a hushed voice as they awaited the perfect moment to arrive:

???: "... Here should be close enough. Now then, Shogun, I just need you to show me a little more skin – these blades will most likely struggle to pierce your rich and fancy clothes... the nape of your neck would do well. Now, Archon, stop looking down at your city, look to Celestia instead, and I will make it swift and painless..."

Raiden: ". . ."

???: "I have waited this long already for this opportunity, I can wait a little longer. Not quite your eternity, but..."

Raiden: ". . ."

???: "This will be my biggest job yet... I don't even think they had any faith in me pulling this off. But the money they offered... it'll be more than enough to..."

Raiden: ". . ."

???: "I... don't even want to do this. To kill an Archon, that is. I would not even say she was at all evil... other than the Vision Hunt Decree that she rescinded a while ago, she's done well enough for her people... but I... I have to kill her... for them."

Raiden: "... A threat to eternity."

And that was the last thing the masked figure heard, before the Raiden Shogun's lightning reflexes had sent a blast of lightning to the hidden assailant and knocked them out where they stood...

* Y/N'S POV *

???: "My Almighty Shogun, I do not understand. Why not leave this traitor with the Tenryou Commission, locked up in the Police Station?"

Raiden: "That will not be necessary. After all, this individual managed to circumvent all of the security with little issue. I will take no further risks, and will deal with this assassin myself."
