Chapter 27

"Nightmare or reality"

Xiao's POV:

I woke up the next day but instead of my room, i woke up in Albedo's connected to a few hospitalic devices. Soon i heard as the door began to open, somebody stepping inside through it. I was curious... Who was it? Why were they here?

I heard as the door closed behind them and they slowly made their way towards me, sitting down on something next to me. The person gently grabbed my hand with his and began caressing the back of it with his thumb.

"Oh god how could have this happened..." - A

I would have realized that voice from anywhere. Aether stoof up from his seat, leaned towards my face and planted a soft kiss on my cheek, letting go of my hand as he pulled away.

I soon began to hear as he headed for the door opening it and his sobs from outside could be heared.

Why did he cry? What happened?

Why can't i move?...

I fell asleep again suddenly, without me realizing it.

Maybe if i wouldn't have pretended to be asleep at that time... None of this would have happened...

I woke up, noticing Albedo walking around inside of the room. He seemed to have noticed that i woke up as i noticed how his eyes widened and brows rose.

"Oh you're up... GUYS HE'S UP!" - Al

Suddenly the rooms door slammed open as Ei and Childe ran inside of it, straight to my bed with sparkling eyes.

"Thank god your okay!" - C

"Yeah, just like he said!" - E

My brain was still not focused, everything was still kind of fuzy. So it took me some time to finally spit out the question i wanted to know mostly at the time.

"Where is... Where is Aether?" - X

The response to that was only that Childe, Ei and Albedo switched sights with eachother then Childe shook his head. The two turned around and left seeming to be in a hurry.

I was confused...

Where was Aether?...

"Albedo?.. Where is..." - X

I turned my head to Albedo but in response he turned his back on me...

Aether... Where are you?

I woke up with a face that was wet cause of tears. Albedo, Ei and Childe being in the room talking about something, but they immediately stopped as they noticed my eyes have opened.

They kept silent as Ei came close to me, seeming to hold something in her hand. She put that thing into my hand, making me clench it.

After a bit of her holding my hand with the for me unknown object in it, she stepped back revealind it.

It was a weapon...

Aether's weapon.

"What happened..." - X

My eyes widened as tears started to form at the corner of my eyes.

"Aether... Well... He... Tried again..." - E

As i heard that i took a look at the dagger and placed it on top of my chest, clenching it.

"Is he okay though? Tell me he's okay!!" - X

"He is... But he ran away... So we have no clue where he is." - C

A month later i got myself together, getting off of that bed finally, my injuries healed. As it turned out when me and Aether were heading towards the school we met Sir K's servants and they hit me with their car. So the endless loop that i went through was in my 6 month long coma. Only a dream nothing more.

But the fact that Aether was not here with me, didn't even visit me, just hurt.

As soon as i got up from the bed i searched everywhere in the city. It took me exactly 4 days until i came across him...

He was in a park, sitting behind a bench, looking down at his dagger, what's other part was in my property.

As soon as i noticed his blonde hair from the distance i ran towards him hugging him tight. But as soon as i wrapped my hands around him he grabbed me by my neck pushing me to the backseat of the bench, barely choking me.

"Who are you? What do you want?" - A

"Aether it's- me..." - X

Aether looked in confusion at me waiting for me to finish.

"It's me, your boyfriend or what you'd like to call it." - X

His eyes widened and then a mad expression erupted his face.

"The fuck you talking about? I'm not gay, asshole." - A

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT GAY? YOU LEGIT SLEPT WITH ME TWICE, SO WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT GAY?!" - X

I yelled out of anger as i grabbed his wrist of his hand that was choking me and pushed his hand on the floor and kept it there forcefully.

"I don't know what the fuck you are talking about. I'm a virgin. I think you confuse me with somebody... Now please if you may... Leave me alone..." - A

He said as he turned to his side, seeming like he was about to cry. I leaned in close to his ear and whispered into it.

"Your sister got murdered by you, didn't she... Lumine?.." - X

"Y-You... How do you know about that..." - A

His face began to have a mad face expression as i noticed when i pulled back and looked into his golden eyes.

"You told me." - X

I said as i grabbed his face, caressing his cheek with my thumb.

"I did?... Why can't i remember it?... Why can't i remember anything?..." - A

He asked as he began shaking, his eyes widened and began to look on the green grass infront of himself.

"You might have gotten amnesia." - X

"Amnesia? What that means again?" - A

He snapped his eye sight back on me with a confused face.

"Heavy memory loss." - X

"Oh..." - A

I leaned closer to him uncontrollably locking my lips with his. He seemed shocked and scared as i noticed him to gasp before my lips reached his. After we pulled away i let a soft smile towards him and spoke.

"How about we head back to the 5-1 base? That's where we live!" - X

I said as i reached my hand out towards him after i stood up. We kept our eyes connected for a while then Aether looked at my hand, hesitantly reaching for it with his.

Eventually he grabbed it and i helped him off of the ground. I then began to walk with him back to the 5-1 base, hand in hand.
