Chapter 39

"The 3rd"

3rd pov:

"Death isn't a joke to human kind,
But aparitions like to toy with it all the time.
Death has 3 gates, the life has 0,
Theres only one way to make a choice.

The third is, the dagger is the key,
Make a sacrefice, death shouldn't be your fear.

Torture yourself til' death,
And the third will take you as it's servant.
But no matter how you hurt your body,
It must be the third you must commit your negative desires with.

The next life may be a happier place,
You may not be exactly the same,
But even if some things have changed when the moon first have arised,
You can still achieve that so craved paradise.

Just go through that gate 13 times..."

[POEM EXPLANATION:]

Aparations: people who are either dead or half dead

Death has 3 gates: Theres a repeating chain of death in this storyline. First you are "alive", when you die you become a ghost, wich means you still have the same form as before but human's cannot see you anymore, if you die as a ghost then you become a spirit wich changes you into a floating flameball wich humans can't see, but ghosts can, if you die once again you get born once again, considered as "alive".

Life has 0: You are basically constantly dying, there is nothing such as actual "life".

(Bonus: If you die, as a ghost and as a spirit you still remember your memories. But when you die as a spirit and reincarnate into a "living" human again you forget every memory you had before.)

Make a sacrefice, death shouldn't be your fear: Kill somebody you love and don't be scared of doing it. (guess that's obvious tho)

3rd stanza in a nutshell: Kill yourself with the 3rd like you did with your loved one and then the dagger will grant you an extra life but for that you have to do stuff it wants, aka become it's servant.

You may not be exactly the same: Half of the dagger's personality traits will be shared with the wielder's.

You still can achieve that so craved paradise: You can go to heaven (or for The 5: Celestia)

Just go through that gate 13 times: Defeat the dagger 13 times and you'll go to heaven(celestia), and the dagger will get destroyed permanently aswell. (There were previous generations owning the dagger so now Aether would be the 13th person)

(A/N: At first i was beginning to write this as if Tomo explained it to Aether but that would have been so fucking long so yeah, explanation note and time skip.

"Oh i understand now... so my fate is that i have to die?..." - A

The blonde asked, fear represented in his eyes. To that the other has nodded and with a quite sad look looked at Aether.

"I'm sorry." - T

"It's okay... i'll get used to the tought someday... now if you excuse me... i'll be going." - A

The blonde said as he stood up and tried to climb off of the roof.

Years after years has passed. Tomo started university and got a really sweet boyfriend called Kaedehara Kazuha. Whenever he visited there was only cheer and joy inside of the house, everybody liked him.

"Hey guys... Kazuha is in the news..." - C

"Oh, we're coming!" - A, Al & E

The three made their ways to the couch and settled comfortably. But all they saw was a lady speaking infront of a blue background.

"Uhm, where?" - E

"It was a preview so wait." - C

In the Tv 2 news has been shared until they reached the one they were so curious about. They slowly readed the title and as they heard "A student got his tongue cut off, his skin cut, and his heart stabbed at Inazuma University" everybody's eyes widened.

"The young Tomo Kazayuki has been trecherously murdered in the school library. During the investigation, the real murder has submitted himself to the investigators, claiming that he was the one who killed his lover." - TV

Everybody in the room was speechless when Kazuha appeared on the screen, crying and screaming "It was my fault, i murdered him!". The 4 of them switched eye contact between eachother with widened eyes.

"Tomo is... dead..." - A

"Argh! That Kazuha guy! I knew i shouldn't have trusted him!" - C

"But why did he do it...?" - E

After Ei asked her question the room got silent. All of them just looked infront of themselves and tought for a while, until silent sobs could be heard from Aether's way.

Aether began crying as he remembered how much good times they spent together with Tomo and Kazuha, and now how everything has just fallen apart has broken him.

He wished he could have changed time back, if only that was an option...
