Part 09:- (Miscarriage)

Few days later

In those days Manik tried to talk to Nandini. But she avoided him as much as she could. Today Manik decided to talk to her anyhow and after pack up he held her hand and dragged her to the parking lot and said,

Manik:- What the hell Nandini? Why are you avoiding me?

Nandini:- I am not avoiding you.

Manik:- Yeah I can see that. Nandini what have you decided about this baby?

Nandini:- (rudely) Does it matters to you?

Manik:- This baby is mine. Of course it matters to me.

Nandini:- So now you will decide what should I and what not?

Manik:- No, I won't. Nandini it's your body and you are going to carry this baby for nine months if you want to keep it. So it's totally your decision. But whatever your decision is I will always support you.

Nandini:- What if I want to keep this baby?

Manik:- (happily) Will you really keep this baby?

Nandini:- Yes. Manik, I don't have anyone in this world. Like any other girl I want a family of my own and this baby is a ray of hope for me. Please don't take this baby away from me, please.

Nandini fall on her knees crying badly. Manik immediately hugged her tightly and said,

Manik:- I promise nobody is going to take this baby away from you. Shhhh, please don't cry. If you cry then my baby will complain to me that I made her mamma cry.

Nandini peeked out from his chest and said,

Nandini:- That means......

Manik:- Yes. We will keep this baby. I am going to give my name to our baby.

Nandini:- Thank you, Manik. Thank you so much.

Manik:- But for now we have to keep this pregnancy as a secret. If media gets to know this they will add spice and then will speared the news everywhere like fire. I don't want any negativity touch you and our baby.

Manik kissed her forehead. It was like a promise to himself to keep her and his baby safe. No mawill protect them and he won't let any evil eyes laid on them.

One month later

Movie shooting was completed and Nandini threw a party on the honour of her team members who worked hard to complete it by the due date. Party was going smoothly when Aliya's boyfriend came there and started fighting with her. Her boyfriend was a bollywood actor. When he heard the rumor about Manik and Aliya dating each other he couldn't control his temper. He dragged her out of the party and took her to the staircase.

Rahul:- Aliya, what is this rubbish I am listening about you? Are you serious cheating on me?

Aliya:- What the hell are you talking? I am not understanding anything.

Rahul:- Oh please. Stop trying to be innocent. Everybody is saying that you are dating Manik.

Aliya:- Are you crazy? Manik is just a good friend of mine. That's it.

Rahul:- Well you said the same about Sahil and later I got to know that he was your ex boyfriend and you guys slept together. You can't fool me every time.

Aliya wasn't a girl who will let him go easily after bashing her.

Aliya:- I am not fooling you because you are already a fool.

Rahul:- (angrily) What did you say?

Aliya:- Yes you are a fool because every time you believe someone else and lash out on me. If I cheated you with Manik then you also cheated on me with your ex girlfriend Priya. So what if I am dating Manik? It's none of your business.

Rahul:- It is my fucking business as your still my girlfriend.

They were fighting and their voice was coming to the party hall. So Manik and Nandini decided to stop them. They went to them and tried to talk to them normally but Aliya's boyfriend Rahul punched Manik and they started fighting. When Nandini went to stop them Rahul pushed her. She couldn't balance herself and fall down from the stairs rolling like a football. Seeing this Manik immediately rushed to her but it was too late. She was bleeding and crying in pain while holding her lower tummy.

Nandini:- Manik our baby.

Manik:- Shhhh everything will be alright.

Manik immediately picked her up in his arms and rushed to the hospital.

At Hospital

Doctor:- I am sorry. We couldn't save the baby.

Nandini started crying badly. Manik hugged her tightly and tried to calm her down.

Manik:- It's okay Nandini. Please don't cry.

Nandini:- It was our first baby, Manik. It was the only hope for me to live.

Nandini was sobbing in his arms when Manik's assistant came there running and said,

Assistant:- Sir you have to leave this hospital right now.

Manik:- Why? What happened?

Assistant:- The media is coming here. They got to know that Nandini mam was pregnant with your child and she had a miscarriage. If they see you with her they cook stories about your relationship. It can hamper your image. Sir please come with me.

Manik looked into her eyes. Nandini thought Manik won't leave her like that she was wrong.

Manik:- Nandini, I need to go. Please try to understand.

Nandini was hurt. She definitely not expected that Manik will choose his career over her. She also doesn't have any right to stop him.

Nandini:- Go Manik.

Manik:- Nandini, please don't get me wrong.

Nandini:- (shouted) I said go, Manik.

Before Manik could say something his assistant held his hand and said,

Assistant:- Sir, they can arrive at any time. Let's go, please.....

Manik didn't want to go but his assistant almost dragged him out and made him sit in the car. Somehow they avoided getting caught by media but Nandini had another plan in her mind. She is not a girl who will cry over her fate, she is the one who loves to write her own fate. She started laughing like a psycho and said,

Nandini:- Till when will you run Manik Malhotra? There will be a time when your each path will reach to me. It is not possible to return from the path at which I stand. You have to come back to me, this time forever.
