Part 10:- (Trapped)

At night

Nandini was laying on the hospital bed. Her hand was on her tummy and tears were rolling down from her closed eyes but she didn't care to wipe them when a man in black hoodie entered into her room silently and sat beside her. He wiped her tears lovingly which made her startled. She immediately on the bed and said,

Nandini:- Manik....

Manik opened his hoodie and said,

Manik:- What did you think? I will leave you like this? No Nandini, I am not that selfish.

Nandini:- Then why did you run away like a coward?

Manik:- I run away because I didn't want media to talk ill about us and our relationship.

Nandini:- (shouted angrily) Relationship? What relationship we have, Manik?

Manik:- I love you damn it.

Nandini:- No Manik. If you loved me then you would face it all with me but you choose to run away.

Manik:- Nandini, please try to understand.

Nandini:- Leave me alone.

Manik:- Nandini......

Nandini:- (shouted loudly) I said leave.......

Manik left there with a heavy heart. He actually loves her and he didn't know how to prove it to her. According to him she is a very sensitive girl. He thinks she won't be able to handle media's spicy gossip that's why he wants to keep her away from all those things. But she was absolutely opposite. She knew how to play games better than any. As soon as he left Nandini called someone and said,

Nandini:- Hello, yeah it's time to use those pics. Give those pics to media. I want it on tomorrow's headline in every newspaper and news channels. Make sure Manik doesn't reach you out. If he finds you then everything will be messed up. Rest Dr. Simran will handle everything, don't worry. Okay, bye.

Nandini cut the call and smirked evilly.

Next day

After coming back from jogging Manik was drinking water when his assistant came there running and said,

Assistant:- Sir, did you see today's newspaper?

Manik:- (confused) No. Why?

Assistant forwarded a newspaper towards him and said,

Assistant:- See this. Someone has leaked your intimating photos with Nandini Mam. I am sure those photos are fake. We should file a case against this newspaper company.

Manik saw those photos carefully. It was their intimating photos when they were in London. There was an article also published. Manik started reading it loudly,

"The famous bollywood actor Manik Malhotra was in a relationship with the famous writer and producer Nandini Murthy. They were dating each other since they started working together in her recent movie "Zid". According to the sources Nandini Murthy was pregnant with his child but yesterday because of an unexpected accident she had a miscarriage. Hospital's ward boys informed us that Manik Malhotra himself brought Nandini Murthy in their hospital and admitted her. But before media could reach there he left the hospital. Manik Malhotra's fans are blaming Nandini Murthy. According to them Nandini Murthy took advantage to him being the producer of his movie. They also talking ill about her and pointing their fingers on her character."

Manik threw the newspaper away in anger when his assistant showed him some vedioes on YouTube where his fans are abusing Nandini. Manik stood up and shouted loudly,

Manik:- This is ridiculous. How can they talk ill about her?

Assistant:- Sir, it's good that your fans are supporting you.

Manik:- I don't care if my fans support me or not. She is innocent here. They can't abuse her. I have to disclose everything.

Assistant:- Sir, if you disclose everything then it can hamper your image. It can destroy your career too.

Manik was getting restless. He pulled his hair in frustration and said,

Manik:- I don't care about my imagine or my career. I love her and I can't see her like this. I have to protect her anyhow.

Assistant:- Sir, please don't take any decisions without thinking about all the pros and cons.

Manik:- Call the media for a press conference as soon as possible.

Assistant:- But sir..........

Manik:- (shouted) Just do as I said.

At Press conference

Journalist 1:- Manik sir, please tell us why you called us for a press conference?

Journalist 2:- Is it true that Ms. Nandini Murthy was pregnant with your child?

Journalist 3:- Are you and Ms. Nandini Murthy in a secret relationship?

Journalist 4:- You fans are supporting you and talking ill about Ms. Murthy. What's your opinion about this fact?

As soon as Manik entered the conference room journalist started asking him different questions. He went to the desk and said,

Manik:- You all will get your answers. Please be sited and let me speak.

They all sat quietly. Manik took a deep breath and started,

Manik:- I love Nandini. Yes we were in a relationship and she was pregnant with my child.

All gasped at this. They didn't expected him to be so straight forward. They started taking vedioes of this confirmation and started live telecasting in every news channels.

Journalist 1:- Sir why did you hind about your relationship?

Manik:- I didn't want people to make rumors about our relationship. Specially I didn't want people to talk ill about Nandini as she is the producer of my recent movie.

Journalist 2:- We heard that she had a miscarriage yesterday and you brought her to the hospital. Is it true?

Manik:- Unfortunately yes. We couldn't save our child.

Journalist 3:- Having a baby without marriage is against our religion. What you want to say about it?

Manik:- Everything is fair in love and war. But yes, it was an unexpected pregnancy and we decided to keep this baby.

Journalist 3:- So you are against marriage?

Manik:- No. In fact I am planning to get married soon.

All together:- Who is the lucky girl?

Manik turned towards the cameras and said,

Manik:- I love you, Nandini. Will you marry me?

On the other side

Nandini was sitting on the hospital bed and watching TV where Manik's press conference was live telecasting. When Manik proposed her she smiled and said,

Nandini:- I love you too, Manik. Let's write our fairytale.
