Chapter Ten ~~ What Did I Just Do?

I was done washing the dishes and was surprised when I saw Stefan banging his head on the table. He was murmuring something but I was unable to catch what he was saying. The only word I read from his lips was 'stupid.'
What's he up to now?
"Hey! I'm done." I poked his head which startled him.
"What?" He said with a puzzled look and finally returning back to reality. "Oh! Okay. Sorry I was uhh...I uhh..."
"You were what?" I was now curious.
"I forgot something to do. That's right! I forgot something!"
Ooookay. He's definitely lying. Oh well, why should I even care?
"Okay." I replied.
"Okay."

"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Stop it. We sound ridiculous." I blurted.
"You're right. It does sound ridiculous. Sorry." He apologized.
"We sounded like Hazel and Gus." I told him.
"Hahahahahaha." He burst out in a large laugh.
"What's funny?" I raised one eyebrow to show him a confused look.
