MASSIMOS POV
We have been waiting here for several hours and we still haven't heard anything on Eveline, Mendoza even threatened the staff that if they didn't get him some information on the well being of his daughter that he would fire every single one of them. I kept my head in my palms, I knew that my kids were okay and that they were with their aunt's and grandmother's so I didn't have to worry about them for now until we got any news on Eveline. Two more hours passed by and we were still waiting for news on Eveline, everybody kept saying that if Eveline was dead that we would have been told about it hours ago. Another hour passed by and I was starting to get really mad at not getting any answers, I got up and started to walk circles around the waiting room when we heard a door open.
"Mr. Mendoza" the doctor called as he made his way towards where we were
"How is she" Mendoza asked
"She lost alot of blood, the bullet hit some organs and we had to repair them making the operation this long" the doctor said
"But she will survive, right" I asked
"Yes, she will survive" the doctor said
"What are you not telling us" my father asked
"She is in coma, we don't know for how long she will be like that but she will come out of it" the doctor said
Before I knew it I was on my knees with my hands flat on the floor, I felt someone lay their hand on my shoulder giving it a slight squeeze letting me know that they were there for me.
"Can we see her" Mendoza asked
"Sure, follow me" the doctor said
We all followed him to a private room where he opened the door allowing us to go in, once inside I walked to her side and grabbed her hand. Mendoza, his son and my father were on the other side of the bed. I allowed my tears to fall not caring that everybody was seeing the weak side of me, all I wanted was for Eveline to open her eyes and look at me. We heard the door open and turned around to be met with the twins, our mothers and sisters. When the twins saw Eveline on the bed not moving they walked up to the bed, my father and Mendoza helped them get on the bed and they laid down next to Eveline with their heads on her chest.
"What the doctor say" my mother asked
"Lets go outside and we will tell you both" Mendoza said
The twins were falling asleep on Eveline and I just kept holding her hand while I watched the twins face clearly for the first time, I was taking in all their fetures. My sister walked up to us with a blanket and placed it over the twins and Eveline as the twins were almost fast asleep, she then walked over to me and placed her hands on my shoulders squeezing them letting me know that she was there for me. I laid my head on the bed while still holding Eveline's hand, I wanted to be the first one to notice if she woke up.
I was falling asleep when I felt someone place a blanket over my shoulders, I didn't open my eyes since I was tired. My mother tried to get me to go home take a shower and change clothing before coming back here but I just couldn't do that, I couldn't leave my family here without my protecion. Even though Mendoza said that he would place some of his men outside the door, I couldn't bring myself to leave. My father also said that he would also put some of our men to stand guard while I went home to shower and change clothing but the only response they got from me was an angry stare, my sister and brother ended up saying that they would go home and bring me a change of clothing so I could shower and change in the bathroom of this room that way I wouldn't be in my bloody clothing jsut incase Eveline woke up.
