SIXTEEN

That Monday after leaving work, I found Lucas waiting for me like nothing ever happened.

"Hey, Asha. Let's go, I'll take you out for dinner." He tells trying to take my hand.

I back off, "What the hell do you want? I told you, that I don't want anything to do with you anymore."

"I know you only said that because the dwarf was with you." He says yanking his black hair back.

"First don't ever disrespect her, second I told you that 'cause it's true. Snap out of your delusion. I'm already seeing someone else. Leave me the fuck alone."

He takes me from my collar and starts to shake. "You better behave with me from now on, my dear. Do you understand?"

"Let me go. you're hurting me." But he shook me again. At that moment someone put a stop to it, making Lucas lose his grip on me.

"Do you think is wise to behave like that with a girl?" The guy says.

"Are you the bastard that snatched away my woman?" He hisses at the stranger.

"She's not an object and more importantly it's not your business," he tells him then he looks at me. "Asha, are you ok? did he hurt you?"

I'm a little taken aback when I hear my name and I look up. "Yes, no. Who are...Seo-Joon???"

Seo-Joon was in the orphanage with us. He was one of the seniors who, like me never got to be adopted. He stayed a little longer for me, not to let me feel alone, since the others were all small kids.

One day, out of the blue, he left. I never heard from him since then, only from others.

I put my arms around his neck and hang on him.

"Hey, baby Asha" He greets me putting me down and smiling.

I jump with happiness it has been years since we don't see each other. I hug him and ask, "Weren't you in London?"

He nods and we start to walk away from Lucas. "Asha come back here. NOW!" he yells but I ignore him and continue to walk away with Seo-Joon.

"So Oppa, when did you come back, and how did you know where I work?" I ask him.

"Just the other day, I have some business here and I called Solar."

"You stayed in contact with Solar and not with me? I'm offended." I tell him pouting.

"Don't be sad. You know I love you."

I smile a little, "Thanks for saving me."

"No biggie, but who's that jerk?"

"My ex."

"Well, he doesn't seem to get it." I shrug. "What's happened?"

I chuckle. "You have a couple of hours?"

"Tonight, I'm all yours. Solar invited me to dinner." He tells me while we head home.

When we get there Solar already prepared everything, and we all sit to eat. After we finish, we start to drink and talk. "So, what's wrong with your ex?" Seo-Joon asks with curiosity.

"Long story short?"

"Yeah"

"More than a year ago, he cheated on me with the daughter of the time police commander," I told him.

"Yeah. That bastard fucked that bitch on Asha's bed. And now after more than a year, the pig wants to get back with her. But she has a hot boyfriend now." I smile sadly at the thought of Hobi and a tear leaves my eye that I promptly wipe away, not before they notice it.
