Since having some days off Y/n sits down by her balcony unable to sleep revisiting the scene of what had happened that day. Realising she was tricked by her boss Augustus Brandson. Unsettled her, especially with allowing herself to be deceived in defending what she believed were two innocent men a huge sense of guilt and shame overflowed her mind.

The next day Y/n arrives at work and Her boss calls for her. Entering his office with a certain of resigning she proudly walks until she sees the two men she had defended right in front of her. Freezing in fear as their soulless eyes stare directly at her she looks at her boss twisted with mixed emotions
" Ah, Miss Lennox you have two visitors who were passing by to Thank you, " Augustus Brandson says pointing. The men do not say anything but examine Y/n. Augustus Brandson gets up " you already know their names so there is no need to introduce them but do greet them now," he says and Y/n slightly terrified maintains her cool and says " hello i see you guys are out of your jumpsuits," she says
" Yeah thanks to you," one of the men says menacingly and Y/n chuckles nervously " since you had helped us with our case we had left a nice gift for you and paid you tripled your service, " the other guy says holding out a gift "i cannot accept it and i will not accept your payment i will send back the money," she says immediately refusing
" Mr Brandson, may we have chat in private it is an emergency," she says forcing a smile and her boss smiles " please give us one minute as we chat in the room next door," he says opening the door and y/n walks in behind him closing the door
" What seems to be the problem Y/n," he says watching her "I sent a letter of resignation and as stated in the letter i quit after lunch i will no longer be a part of this firm " she states and her boss laughs assuming y/n is joking " very funny sense of humour miss Lennox, After receiving a promotion," he says and Y/n doesn't laugh back
" Mr Brandson i am not joking and we both know the reason you handed me a promotion but I cannot work here anymore," she says seriously and the friendly expression changes in Mr Brandson " what is the reason for your sudden request of departure," he asks "I realised this law firm is not for me i do not care or want to know your relationship with these strange men all i know it is best to eliminate my self from this situation as my intuitive telling me to do so," she says unafraid
" You may want to reconsider those thoughts as i was calling you to congratulate including raising your salary," he says " thank you but i do not need my salary to be raised and i am parting with this firm you cannot change my mind, Mr Brandon thank you for the years spent but i am leaving as i stated i would be finished by twelve and the clock has struck so i will take my leave," she says leaving the room then leaving the office without giving the two men a farewell.
As she enters her office she packs her essentials all in a box exiting her office. Her colleagues stare especially Justine confused. Y/n stops and gathers all of their attention" sorry to disturb you all you may be wondering why i am carrying these boxes today was my last day, sorry for not telling anyone but it is I've decided to take a new adventure thank you guys for being my colleague goodbye " she says resigning for good
Exiting the building Y/n calls for a taxi to go home. Y/n takes off her slipper and it dark opens the light she sees a figure of the same tall man Mr Kim Namjoon " Jesus" she yells panicking. She wonders how he had entered without leaving a trace neither was the door or window open but locked.
Frozen in fear Y/n dares not to move. Namjoon takes off his glasses " Take a seat Miss Lennox" he demands but Y/n refuses and stays near the door " do not make me ask you again " he says seriously and Y/n sits on the edge of the couch. The doorbell rings and he stands up to open the door entering the two men Y/n had freed. One of them examines Y/n's small apartment. " You know it is considered disrespect not greeting your elders," Kim Namjoon says to her and Y/n remains silent instantly regretting the situation she has fallen into. All three men sit down holding two briefcases.
" Let me introduce myself I am Jung Hoseok," he says also removing his glasses. The other man also takes off his glasses " I am Min Yoongi" Yoongi says watching her. Smiling unveiling his dimple " we have already been acquainted but let me introduce myself,I am Mr Kim Namjoon" he speaks with the most baritone voice.
" Earlier on You had signed a letter of resignation leaving your firm for what reason," Mr Kim asks. Y/n nervously plays with her thumb " i decided this field of work is not for me " she replies avoiding eye contact " cancel your resignation " Mr Kim demands " no" y/n says and three men all glare at her " no " one of them says
" I refuse to return and i have finalised my decision," she says and immediately Min Yoongi opens the briefcase and thousands of dollars spring out. This is the type of amount that is more than Y/n's yearly salary. Tilting the briefcase for Y/n to see " what if we proposed a deal you surely wouldn't refuse " Jung Hoseok suggests " no thank you" Y/n still rejects.
Min Yoongi suddenly questions her " why won't you accept the money" Y/n looks at him " because i do not need it as i will not return to work so i politely decline your offer no matter what amount you are offering," she says trying to hold nerves not knowing what the outcome of her words will be.

" Fine we shall leave you alone for now, Miss Lennox you are certainly an interesting character we will see you again soon," Says Mr Kim and they all get up preparing to leave Mr Jung Hoseok takes another glance " this is only the beginning," he says sniggering they all leave closing the door. Y/n gets up falling on her knees extremely petrified.
