Merlin looked adorable walking about with his stomach. It wouldn't be long before the kings had their little one in their arms.

"You look so sexy, baby," Arthur spoke as he wrapped his arms around Merlin's waist, kissing his neck.

Merlin sighed as he leaned into Arthur's touch, holding his stomach as he felt their child kick. Arthur smiled as he moved his hand to Merlin's stomach. "You didn't have to do this." Arthur spoke as he laced his fingers with Merlin's. "I owe you."

"You don't owe me anything. I wanted to, Arthur."

"Let's get you to Gaius, so he can give you a check up. It shouldn't be long before the baby makes an appearance."

"You want me to guess the gender?" Merlin asked as he sat down on Arthur's bed.

"I want it to be a surprise to us both."

"It will be. Gaius knows what to do. God, I never stop talking about it."

"Arthur," Merlin spoke as he grabbed the kings hand. "I'm going to be okay."

"I know." Arthur started as he sat next to Merlin. "I just can't lose you. And I know there's always that risk..."

"Let's not think about that." Merlin cut the boy off. "In a few weeks, your heir will be here, and so will I."

Arthur rested his head against Merlin's, waiting for Gaius. There was a soft knock on the door as the door opened slightly.

"Hello, Gaius," Merlin spoke, smiling.

"Good afternoon, Merlin," Gaius bowed. "Arthur."

"You don't have to bow for me, Gaius." Merlin spoke as the elder man sat next to Merlin.

Gaius nodded. "How are you feeling?" He asked as he placed his hands on Merlin's stomach.

Gaius couldn't help but smile when he felt the baby kick. "It won't be long, sire." Gaius spoke. "Have you got any names picked out?" Gaius asked as he relaxed his hand on Merlin's stomach.

"Yes," Merlin smiled.

"But we are keeping it a secret until the baby is born and we know the gender," Arthur finished.

"How has your eating habits been?" The physician asked as he removed his hand, reaching into his medicine bag.

"Strange, but good." Merlin spoke.

"That's good," Gaius spoke as he continued to check the boy.

"The baby and you are healthy. There's nothing to worry about, but I'm putting you on bed rest. From how hard your stomach is, baby will be making their appearance any day now."

"But I've still got a month." Merlin spoke as he cuddled into Arthur's side.

"Well, it's a bit complicated, but pregnancy in warlock is different than human. You can carry the baby for 9 month, but it can be dangerous. Usually when the stomach hardens, the baby will appear in two to three days." Gaius explain.
