How it all started

Sleepover

Its Friday.
I wake up. Do my regular routine, get out of the house at about 8:00. I start walking to the bus stop. Charlie's waving at me, I run up to him.
"Can you come to my practice tonight" he says bluntly
"Yeah" I say "why though"
"I just want someone to be there"
"Okay" I say a little suspiciously "are any of the boys giving you a hard time" I ask
"No, I mean not really. I just want to ride the bus with someone" he laughs
"Oh okay" I say
We get on the bus and sit down. Charlie and I are talking but just the usual like did you have homework, and stuff like that

As we walked off the bus I see Harry and imogen. Imogen calls me over. Oh god I think.
"Later night can you come over to my house, I need help with maths. I really don't understand it". She asked
"Yeah of course, can it be around 7:30. I told Charlie I would watch him at practice"
"Ooo are you two planning a little date" Harry said
"Piss off Harry" Imogen said
I start laughing
Harry looks at me and smiles
"anyway yeah that's fine, why don't you just stay over" she suggested
"Yeah that'd be fine" I replied
Someone came up behind me and asked if I was okay
I turned around and it was tao
I gasped and embraced him
I hadn't seen him since school started
"Yes I'm fine, why wouldn't I be"I asked
We started walking away from imogen and Harry
"I don't know I was just worried because Harry was making some funny face, I didn't if he was saying anything to you" he said concerned
"Oh no" I laughed "I was just talking to Imogen" I said
"You're friends with her?" Tao asked
"Yeah, we sit next to each other in maths and we became friends"
"Oh" Tao said
"Well I gotta get to class so I'll see you around, tell Isaac I said hi" I said
"Yeah"
Tao was always been like that he's always scared that if we become friends with other people that we will just leave him in the dust. Which we won't, ever.

Time skip

Me and Tao showed up to Charlie's practice.
"So we're winning" Tao said
"don't act like you have any idea about what's happening" Charlie said
"How do you even play this, it's just guys running into each other" I said
"You have to get the ball to that side, Nick has been scoring all our points so far" Charlie replied
"Well he is the rugby king" Tao said "also I've been meaning to talk to you about Nick" Tao added
"Yeah me too" Charlie said
"You go first" Tao to insisted
"Well, you know how I thought he was straight, well he's been flirty and we've been hanging out non stop and so I think I ought have a chance. I don't want to get my hopes up though." Charlie said excited
Tao scrunched his face
"What" I asked
Tao looked at me and than back at Charlie
"Nick has a crush on a girl, like he's in love with a girl. I asked my friend who knows and asked him he knows is Nick is single because I have a friend that might be interested. He said he's single but in love with a girl"
"Oh" Charlie said disappointed
"What's her name"
"Tara jones" Tao responded
I felt so bad for Charlie, I mean Nick does seem straight but when he was asking me all these questions a few days ago I thought he was be interested.
My phone buzzed and it was the group chat Tao wanted everyone to meet up at his house and settle this thing about Nick
" hey Tao" I said
"Yeah" he replied
"I can't tonight, I'm sorry I told Imogen that I would help her with maths after practice is over"
"Oh okay" he said

After practice was over me Tao and Charlie were on the bus to his house. We all said bye and I stayed on to get to Imogens house. I'm kinda nervous to be honest the only people I have sleepovers with is my friend group which is really small.
I get off the bus and start to head over to her house. Knock on the door. Within two knocks the door swings open.
"Y/nnn" Imogen says
"Hey" I replied
She grabbed my hand and pulled me up stairs. I helped her with maths for about an hour. After that we went down stairs to get popcorn and watch a movie
"What movie do you wanna watch" she asked.
"What about dead poets society" I suggested
"That's so sad"
"Fine than grown ups" I said
About have way through the movie we were both getting board.
"Alright, so I have a question" imogen said
"Shoot" I said still watching the movie
"Who do you like" she asked I could her the smile through her voice
I slowly turned to her.
"No one " I said
"Oh come on y/n, I know you like someone" she pushed
I didn't know what to say I mean I don't know how I feel about hair I talked to him once, you know.
"I really don't like anyone at the moment" I said again. "What about you, who do you like" I asked
"Nick Nelson" she said confidently
"Nice" I said. I really did not know what to say that, Charlie liked him too. Like how many people can this one dude pull.
Later that night we were back up in her room and we were just on our phones
"What about Harry" she asked
"Huh" I said
"Do you like Harry" she asked
I just froze I couldn't say yes because I don't know him and if I did she could tell him.
"I don't know" I said.
Worst decision of my life
"Wait so you have thought of it" she asked excitedly
I didn't respond
"Don't be like that y/n, I won't tell anyone I promise. You have something one me now anyway." She said
"Fine, I don't know if I like him or not. I talked to him once. I just don't know." I said
"I feel like you are making this way more complicated than you need to" she said

After than conversation we fell asleep i the morning we both woke up around 9:00 and I went home around 12. I had a really good time actually.
