How it all started

Party

Elle came on the bus with me so we can drop our stuff off at my house and go to the mall from there. As we walk through the door I saw a note on the counter "I'll be home in a bit"- mum. I showed Elle and shrugged my shoulders. We dropped our stuff on the table and left to go to the mall. I texted my mum that we were heading out.

As we were walking to the mall Elle broke the silence and asked
"Do you think anything will happen"
"Like?" I asked
"We'll what if you guys kiss" she says getting straight to the point"
"Elle, we barely know each other I doubt that would happen"
"Well would you want to kiss him if you got the chance to" she asks
"I don't know, probably not. I haven't even accepted the fact that I like him yet" I say

When we got to the mall Elle immediately grabs my hand and starts to pull me into a store called Windsor. I wanted this dressed to be perfect, you know Harry wanted me to be at this party. I really wanted to make it mean something. I looked around the store for about 15 minutes. I didn't find anything I liked, so I started to look for Elle. Saw her with what looked like ten dresses in her hands,
"No wonder I couldn't find anything I liked" I laughed
She looked at me and gave me the biggest smile. She handed me the dresses and hurried me into a dressing room. I tried most of them on I didn't like them they either maybe my body look weird or they were to short for my liking. I looked at at the last dress with uncertainty. It was a short, tight, red sparkly dress. I tried it on, and I fell in love with it. I opened the door to show Elle
"It's beautiful, you look stunning" she was with a gigantic smile.
"I love it. I'm gonna buy it"

That night Elle spent the night at my house. We talked about the most random things we were about to watch stranger things when our phones dinged

Charlie: NICK INVITED ME TO HARRY'S PARTY
Charlie: IM SCREAMING AJSHGSYEJSJ
I laughed
Me: We can go together
Elle: Omg you two are going to be at a popular people party
Tao: Wait isn't that tomorrow
Me: Yeppers
Tao: I thought we were having a film round at my house tomorrow
Me: Omg I'm so sorry I forgot
Charlie: I'm so so sorry Tao I completely forgot. I told Nick I would go with him to the party
Tao: you guys said you would hang out with us
Charlie: can we do it another time

I got up and went to that bathroom. I really did feel bad about not being able to go to film night with Tao, Elle and isaac. But I really wanted to go to this party and I know Charlie did too. We also have a film night at least once a month so it's not like it was anything that important that we were missing we could just do it next weekend.
I walked back into my room and Elle was laying down in the bed on her phone. She turned her head and up her phone down.
"Tao's mad" she said as she sat up
"I know I completely forgot about film night I do feel bad. But one I'm not gonna give up a chance to see Harry and two we do film nights so often it won't hurt if I miss it one time" I said
"Yeah" she said
From there we watched stranger things and fell asleep.

Next morning
I wake up and check my phone 12:50 I groan and sit up. I look over to Elle who's still sleeping like a baby.
"Elle" I say trying to wake her up, she doesn't move at all.
"ELLE" I yell.
Still nothing
I grab my pillow and wack her with it.
"what" she groans
"Good you're up" I say
She grabs a pillow and throws it at me. She completely misses
"You missed" I say
She rolls her eyes. I laugh and start to head down stairs
"Good morning sleepy heads" my mum says "I made some pancakes"
"Thanks mum" I say
After we eat it's about 1:30, Elle went home after we ate she said she need to do some homework. I jump in the shower, after I wash my face and do a face mask and paint my nails.  Now it's about 3:00. Harry's party starts at 7:00 so I wanted to be there at around 7:30. So I lay down in bed and turn on the tv. I end up falling asleep for what I thought was an hour. I wake up to my phone ringing, it's Charlie.
"Hey are you almost ready" he asks
"What" I say confused
"Y/n, it's 7:00"
"Shitshitshit" I say "I gotta go I'll meet you there" I hung up the phone
I guess I'll be really late
I run to the bathroom and brush my hair, and curl it after. Than I go to yo my makeup on. Time check- 8:00
"Shit" I say under my breath
I get dressed and grab some silver heels. I put on some perfume and walk down stairs. I tell my mum I'm ready we both get in the car. It's not to long of a drive it's about ten minutes away.
"Text me when you're ready to come home" my mum says
"Okay I love you" I say
I get out of the car and check the time 8:20. I walk into the hotel and there is so. Many. People. This is so overwhelming. I really don't like big groups of people. As I'm walking in I bump into someone
"Sorry" I say
"Y/n?"
I look up, it's Harry. Shit.
"I didn't think you'd show up" he says
"And why's that" I ask
"You don't seem like a party person, at all"
"Wow, it's that obvious" I say
"Well I'm happy you came, you also look amazing in that dress" he says rubbing the back of his neck.
"Thank you" I say I can feel my face heat up
"Oh also imogen wanted me to tell you she wants you to dance with her, it's so random but she wanted me to tell you" he said
"I can't dance to save my life" I say
He laughs
"You wanna see my famous dance move" he asks
I don't even get a chance that respond
He just starts doing some really wired think with his arms
" I don't know what that was, but that was not a dance move" I say laughing
He smiles
I look around and see Darcy
"Im going to go say hi to Darcy, I'll see you around" I say looking up at him
"Alright" he said

I walk over to Darcy, she sees me
"Y/N!!" She yells and hugs me
I see Harry again but this time he's taking to Nick and Charlie. Charlie looks uncomfortable and a little upset. I tried to listen but I couldn't hear over the music. Nick stands up and walks over to Tara and just leaves Charlie sitting there, I don't like that he just left him there.  Charlie than walks away, I wanted to go follow him and make sure he's okay but I get pulled into this game with Darcy. After a few minutes of playing this game Darcy walks over to Tara and they go dance. I start to walk away from the group but than Nick stops me.
"Do you know where Charlie went" he asks with urgency in his voice.
"He went that way" I point
"Thanks" he says
"Mhm"

As nick walked away to find Charlie. I went in the opposite direction to the dance floor. It wasn't long until imogen found me. She forced me to dance with her, it was really fun though. But after about four songs I felt like my feet were bleeding. Luckily imogen found Nick so this was my chance to escape. I took off my heels and walked up to the second floor. I sat on the floor with my back against the wall. I went on my phone. I really needed a break from people, crowds give me a lot of anxiety. I just needed to breathe.
I got a few minutes to myself until someone sat next to me.
I looked and it was Harry
Right when my nerves calmed down. My heart started beating, I felt like you could see it beating out of my chest.
"Why aren't you downstairs" he asked
"I need a break from people" I said
"Oh, I'll give you some space than" he said as he started getting up
"No, you don't have to, certain people are fine" I said
Now, why. Why did I have to say that.
"Oh" he said, I could hear the smile through his voice.
"Sorry that sounded way weirder than I intended it to be" I say rubbing my face
"You don't have to say sorry I know what you meant" he laughed
"Alright"
We just sat there in silence for about four minutes listening to the music. I yawned about ten times though.
"Are you tired or something" he asked
"Yeah kinda" I said
"Here" he said
I turned to look at him and he was holding out his arm indicating me to put my head on his shoulder. So I did. He put his arm around me after I laid my head down. Let me tell you my hands have never been this sweaty.
"So why did you really come to this party" he asked
I froze, have I been caught, does he know. Did Imogen tell him. Shit shit shit.
"What" I said
"You said you aren't a party person, so why did you come"
"Oh, I just thought I should get out of the house and I want to come because of..." I trailed off. I was about to dig a grave for myself. So I decided to shut up
"Because of what" he asked
"Because of you" I mumbled
"Ohhhh" he teased
"Shut up" I said "it's your birthday remember"
"Oh, so that's the only reason" he said
"Yes" I said smiling
Neither of us said anything for a few minutes, it wasn't awkward or anything it was really comfortable. My nerves calmed down, I couldn't believe I had my head on his shoulder and his arm was around me.
"Are you doing anything tomorrow" he asked breaking the silence
"I don't like so, why"
"I was wondering if you'd like to hangout just one or one, I can tell that people stress you out" he said
"Yeah that sounds fun" I said
I slightly moved my head to look at him. Our faces were so close. We were just looking into each others eyes. In this moment it felt like we would kiss.
"Mate, come on get up we're supposed to be looking for Nick" one of Harry's friends yelled
Harry looks at them and looks back at me. He starts to stand up. He gives me an apologetic smile
"I'll text you tomorrow, and we'll set something up" he said reassuringly
"Okay" I say
Through out the night I hung out with Tara and Darcy. I didn't see Charlie for the rest of the night which concerned me, I didn't think anything of it though.
It was about 11 when I texted my mum to pick me up. After I got home I went straight up the shower. I washed my face and got in shorts and a baggy t-shirt. I laid in bed thinking about Harry, was he actually going to text me tomorrow or was he just trying to nice I thought. I tried to keep those thoughts out of my head. Not long after I fell asleep.
