How it all started

Misunderstanding

Beep. Beep. Beep
I roll over and look at my phone
Beep. Beep. Beep
I turn my Alarm off and slowly get up. Yesterday was a roller coaster of emotions. I slowly walk into the bathroom and just stare at myself in the mirror. I don't know why but I've been extremely emotional lately. I brush my teeth and wash my face. I walk back into my room to get dressed. I walk down stairs and it's already 8. I grab my shoes and run at the door. I speed walk to the bus stop and get there as the bus pulls up. Charlie looks at me with concern
"Are you good" he ask
"Yep" I say quickly say
I put in my earbuds and just fall into the music, I relax myself and tell myself over and over again that todays is gonna be a good day. When we walk off the bus I say bye to Charlie, I didn't see Harry but that's fine. I walk into maths and see Imogen. I'm honestly still kinda of pissed that she sent me that picture.
"Hey" she said with a smile
"Hi" I say without even looking at her
"Are you alright"
"No" I say still not looking at her
"What happened" she asks concerned
"You know that picture you sent me Saturday, well apparently that's a picture from awhile ago and it was of Harry and his ex" I say turning to her
"What" she says as he pulls out her phone
She pulls up Instagram and shows me the picture. It was the most recent picture on her page the day said April 27th
My heart sinks again, I'm about to text Harry but decided not too.
"Oh" is all I managed to get out
Tears start to swell in my eyes. I ask to go to the bathroom and imogen ends up coming as well I sit on the floor and cry into her shoulder.
"I thought Harry was better than this" she says
"I can't even be made, we aren't officially anything" I sob
See pulls out her phone again and goes on to Harry's page.
"Wait" she says
"What" I sob
She shows me the picture again
"This is helping a lot" I say crying harder
"Y/n look at the date" she says
The date was last year around Christmas time on Harry's page
I sit up and wipe my tears
"I'm so confused" I say
"She reposed the picture. This was from awhile ago but she reposed it" she says looking at me
"So... what are you implying" I ask
"I'm saying that this was from a year and half ago, but she reposed it to make it seem like it was recent" she says
"Ohhh, oh" I say "so Harry wasn't with another girl" I say in realization
"Yeah, there you go. You're putting the pieces together now" she says with a little chuckle.
"So all this crying was for nothing" I say standing up looking in the mirror
"Yep" she laughs
After school I left much better, I cleared this fog about Harry and this girl. When I'm walking out of school I see Charlie, Tao, and Isaac standing by the fence.
"Hey" I say running up to them.
"Hey y/n" Isaac says
"So what are you guys doing" I ask
"Nothing" Tao quickly says
"Oh okay"
I see Harry so I head over to him
"Hey" I say
"Hey how are you" he ask
"I'm alright how are you"
"I'm good" he said "you look tired, did you not sleep well"
"No I didn't, I've just had a very emotional past couple days" I say looking up at him
He gives a sympathetic smile.
"We'll would you like to come, we could watch some movies" he suggest
"Sure" I say
As we are walking away Ben starts to tease Harry again. He flips him off but doesn't look back. He than slowly slips his hand into mine. Fireworks just went off in my stomach.
"How's your parents" he asks
"I don't know"
"How don't you live with them" he chuckles
"Yeah, but they are either never home or don't talk to me or barley talk to me" I say lowering my head
"Oh, your mum seemed nice though" he said
"Well she is, she just doesn't make time for me unless it fits into her schedule. Same with my dad" I say
He squeezes my hand a little
"Well you can always come over here, whenever just text me" he said looking at me
"Thanks" I say finally looking up

We walk into his house and he leads me up the stairs. I drop my bag off my his bedroom door.
"Do you wanna continue watching fear street"he asks
"I kinda wanna watch something light hearted" I answer
"Okay what about... um the first pirates of the Caribbean"
"Jonny depp, yes please" I say laughing
He smiles but shakes his head
"Alright than" he laughs
I put my head on his chest and he wraps his arms around me. We normal are always like this when we watch movies but this time it was different. It was always comfortable but it was like this time it meant something. During the middle of the movie Harry spoke up
"Do you have a good relationship with your parents" he asked
"That's really random" I say
"Sorry, I was just thinking about it"
"Um I don't it's complicated, sometimes but than other times I don't, like for example sometimes I can tell my mom stuff like she's my best friend and than other times she just shuts me out and it's the same thing with my dad" I explain
"Oh, I'm sorry" he says
"Why do you keep apologizing"
"I just feel bad"
I look up at me and he just me smile.
He kisses my forehead.
"I have one more question" he says
"Shoot" I say
"Would you wanna... I don't know be my girlfriend" he asks
I sit up and look at him
"Of course" I say smiling
He pulls me into a hug, he can probably feel how fast my heart is beating.
When we let go of each other, he has this look in his eye I can't really tell what it is.
He slips his hand on to my cheek and pulls me in for a kiss. This is the type of kiss I've never had before it was full of love and passion. It was amazing, it was our longest kiss yet.
We finish up the movie and it's time for me to go home.
"Bye" I say looking up at him
"Bye love" he says
I walk out the door. And start walking home, I had the biggest smile on my face.

I walk through the doors of my lonely house. No one is home expect me. I go to sit on the couch, I pull out my phone and text the group chat.
Me: Harry and I are officially dating
Elle: no way, omg I'm so happy for you
Tao: finally it's about time
Charlie: IM SCREAMING AAJSHQUTGA
Isaac: Oml, yayyyyyy
I smile and put my phone down. Still processing what happens today. I hear the door open and it's my dad.
"Hey" I say
He ignores me
"How was your day" I try again
"Fine" he said
"Nice" I say standing up
"What's for dinner" I ask
"I don't know y/n, I just walked in" he said raising his voice
That's my cue to go upstairs
So quickly walk up stair and flop down on bed.
I start to do my homework within two hours I finish it up. I go downstairs to make myself a sandwich. After I finish eating I clean up and go to take a shower. than get ready for bed. As soon as I'm about to fall asleep I get a text from imogen.
Imogen: Can you come over tomorrow
Me: Yeah of course
Imogen: kk
And than from there I fall asleep.

I hear my door open in the middle of the night.
I roll over to see who it is, it's my mum.
"What time is it"I groan
"Shhhh" my mum says
She gets in bed with me.
"What" I ask in a raspy voice
"I'm sorry" she says
"About?"
"Your father" she says I a sincere voice
"What are you talking about" I ask
"He left"
"What do you mean he left" I say sitting up
"He just packed his things and left" she said tearing up
"Did he say anything" I ask
"No"

Beep. Beep. Bee—
My alarm goes off I quickly open my eyes and shut it off.
I roll over in my back and just stare at the ceiling. I think about the dream I just had.
I was trying to think about what it meant like did I want my dad to leave, did I really want that. I push those thoughts aside and get up to go get ready. I finish getting dressed and walk downstairs, my dads sitting at the table. I continue to walk down.
"Good morning dad" I say
No response
I just grab a pop tart a leave. Honestly I wouldn't mind if he did leave. I walk to the bus stop and see Charlie
"I feel like you are a different person now you're in a relationship" he says laughing
"Shut up" I say
"Hey, are you okay you seem out of sorts" he asks
"Yeah I'm fine" I say
"You sure"
"Yes Charlie, I'm sure" I say getting aggravated
As we walk on to the bus, I put my earbuds in and just listen to music.
The bus comes to a stop, and we and Charlie get off the bus. I say bye to Charlie. I start to walk to school staring at my feet.
"Y/n" I hear someone call in the distance.
I turn around and see Harry. I walk towards him and his friends. I'm really not in the mood for his friends, Nick is over there though.
"Hey" he said
"Hi"
"Is everything okay" he asks with a concerned look
"Mhm-mhm" I say
We just talk about the normal things he asks me how I slept, what I'm doing today.
He starts to walk me to Higgs, he puts his arm around me.
"Are you positive you are okay" he asks
"I'm just really tired" I say looking at him
We say goodbye and he kisses me on the forehead. I see Elle and she wiggles her eyebrows at me. I roll my eyes and walk into maths. I see imogen sitting at the table she looks like she has something on her mind.
"Hey" I say
"Hey, so about the hanging out thing I can't do it anymore today" she said
"Oh, that's fine"
"Okay good"
And the rest of the day went really smoothly.
