How it all started

Bake sale

It was Friday, this weekend was the bake sale and I still hadn't asked Harry to help.
I was dreading it. I was overthinking maybe he was just acting nice to me because he was bored and no one else would give him attention. I tried to push those thoughts away as I walked into school I saw Darcy and Tara so I waved they returned the gesture.
When I walked into maths I saw Imogen at the table.
"Y/n I have an idea"
"Oh god"I signed
"It's a good one I promise" she said getting excited
"What is it than"
"I'm going to ask Nick Nelson out on a date at this rugby match tomorrow" she said
As soon as she said those words Immediately thought of Charlie. Nick and Charlie are going out so, Nick would obviously say no. But I didn't want Imogen to get hurt. She can be annoying sometimes but I do care for her.
"Oh, that's sounds fun" I say
"One last thing, how are you and Harry" she asks with a smile
"What" I say with big eyes
"He told me about you guys hanging out on Sunday" she said
"Oh"
We didn't really talk much for the rest of class. But what she told me made me think, is he telling people about Sunday or did imogen just ask.
That thought just kept replaying over and over again
As I was walking out of school to meet up with Charlie and Tao. We made up he was understanding and he is supportive just not as much as Charlie or Elle. Which is reasonable.
But as soon as I crossed the street Harry called my name
"Y/n, come over here real quick"
I looked at Tao and Charlie "sorry" I mouthed
I walked over to Harry all of this mates were surrounding him. I was extremely overwhelming.
"Hey" I said trying to focus on just him
"I have a rugby game tomorrow, I would like you to come" he said
"Oh okay, I was already planning to come for Charlie" I said with a smile
His mates laughed. I was embarrassed and I don't know why I just felt like I was this ant compared to his friends.
Harry turned around to his friends I didn't see what look he gave them but it made the shut up.
Harry stood up and walked closer to me.
"That's fine, I just want you to be there" he said. He started to walk away and I figured this was my chance to ask him about the bake sale.
"Harry" i said quickly
"Yeah" he said turning around.
I walked closer to him
"My mum is having a bake sale for work on Sunday. So maybe after your rugby match you could come over and help me" I said squinting my eyes
"Yeah, I think that sounds good" he said with a smile plastered on his face
"Thanks" I said with a proud look on my face.
I turned around and started to walk back towards Charlie and Tao who were still waiting patiently.
"So when's your little date" tao teased
"It's not a date" I say defending myself
"Than what is it" Charlie asks
"After the rugby match hes helping me with my mums bake sale" I answered
"Oh I see" Tao said as he looked at Charlie. They than both started laughing
"You both and go to hell" I say
We all get in the bus and go home. As soon as I get home I go upstairs and take a nap. Around dinner time my dad wakes me up
"Dinner y/n" He said
I walk down stairs, it's just me and him home we're having fish and chips. That's about all my dad can make. After I finish eating I go upstairs and take a shower I do my night stuff and get in get. I get a text from Elle
Elle: rugby match is at 12:00 and we're picking you up at 11:40
Me: I won't
I set my alarm for 10 and drift off to sleep.

That morning I wake up five minutes before my alarm. I turn it off and go downstairs to get breakfast both of my parents are working again. I grab a pop tart and turn on the tv. When I finish the pop tart I go upstairs to brush my teeth wash my face and get dressed. I get into mom jeans and a yellow crop top. I go downstairs and. Check the time 11:35 it's almost for Elle to pick me up. I put on my black converse and grab a jacket. I get a text from Elle
Elle: here
I walk outside and lock up. When I get in the car Isaac and Tao are there.
"Oh my god, I wasn't expecting you two to be I here too" I say surprised
Isaac just nods and smiles.
When we get to the game we meet up with Tara and Darcy.
I see Charlie run over to us
"Hi" Elle says
"Oh my god I missed you" Charlie says
"Excuse me, where's our hug" tao says offended
"I see you three all the time" Charlie responds
Tao makes a face, and I laugh.
Harry calls me over again.
"What" I say
"Jeez I just wanted to say hi, what's got you in a mood" he asks
"Nothing"
"Mhm mhm" he says
"Are we still on, after the game" I ask trying to change the subject
"Of course" he said smiling
I can feel his eyes scanning my body
"You're staring" I teased
"What are you expecting, you look really good" he says
I can feel my face heat up
"Thanks" I giggle
"Harry come on" his coach called
"I gotta go"
"Good luck" I say while walking away
