Tobi, Lilly, Daisy, Angie and Lexi are five teenaged girls living in a modern Australia. By coincidence their names all end in an ee sound, but lets not get into that.
These girls are by all standards completely normal. They go to school five days a week, they complain about the horrendous year nine workload and their hormones are starting to go crazy.
Tobi, like most of the time, arrives first, feeling awkward as she swings her school bag onto the ground. Tobi thinks of herself as the socially awkward friend. The one who will pretend to text to get out of talking to people. About five minutes later Lilly, Angie and Daisy walk up from the bus bay. Lilly and Angie are literally married. BFF's both short but hilarious. Daisy is the loud one, but still as violent and intimidating as a pink butterfly stuck on a marshmallow.
Lexi still isn't there yet, she is usually late.
As the bell rings, the girls separate to go to homeroom. As Tobi, in her over polite manner, makes her way through the mass of people. Let's just say, many "Excuse me"s and "Thank you"s were issued.
Tobi reaches her homeroom just before the bell. She pulls her bag off her back and leans against the wall. She thinks that almost all the people in this class are completely stupid. Tobi is an academically above average kid but these girls, for Tobi words just can't explain. There are only two girls she gets along with, Dylan and Brielle.
As they are ushered into class, the roll is called and morning prayer comes over the loudspeakers, Tobi can not imagine her life any different, it's not like she hates it, she loves it in fact. Maybe only in her wildest dreams could she imagine that on that very day, she and her friends will have their life changed completely, that it would be the most exciting thing that has and probably will ever happen, but condemn them to a life of peril.
But hey, that sort of stuff happens only in fairy tales.
(A/N, Hi there people of the internet! This story is in a new sort of style for me, so the quality will gradually get better. If you cant already tell this will be told primarily from Tobi's perspective but sometimes it might switch about. Thanks!)
