Tobi is so glad that yesterday was the last day of school. Even though sleeping in is impossible with your body clock following the clock, she is just happy not to have school. She lays on her trampoline outside waiting for the sun the rise properly, she flows light energy through her body, soaking up the newly born sun. Ever since Cancer's library, Tobi has learnt many tricks with her newly found magic. She can fix headaches and stomach pains with a mere touch of her fingers. Her luck had significantly increased, her mother for instance, randomly brought home a block of chocolate, 'just because'. In the back of Tobi's mind, there was Tris' warning about using to much magic but selfishly, Tobi didn't care.
Today is going to be a fun day. She has convinced Hugo to come over to introduce him to the wonderful world of Doctor Who. Hugo had been very enthusiastic about coming to her house, Tobi guessed it was because he spent most of his time playing video games so he going over someone's house seems very fun.
Hugo would be arriving just after lunch so Tobi had plenty of time to herself before having to put presentable clothes on.
The morning was quite dull, weekend television hardly catered to teenagers, she sat lazily on the couch, flicking through the channels to no success. It was all kid's shows and cooking programs
"Tobi," her mother calls at about 1:30 pm. "Your boyfriend's here."
"He's not my boyfriend!" Tobi shouts back in a sing-song voice as she runs toward the entrance.
"Hey Tobi," Hugo grins as the girl skids to meet him at the door.
"Hey," she grins back. "Come on, through here. I can't believe you have never seen Doctor Who before."
"Well I am now so get over it," Hugo laughs. They enter the living room and Tobi gets the disk out and sets up the TV.
"We'll only have time for maybe three episodes but for homework, I'll have to give you the box," Tobi explains.
"Yes Miss," Hugo smiles cheekily.
"Shut up."

"Tobi, Tris is at the door for you," her mother calls halfway through the third episode.
Tobi stands, looking confused.
"Keep on watching, I'll be back in a sec," she assures Hugo.
As she walks to the front of the house again, she wonders what Tris could want.
As she turns into the entrance she is greeted by Tris looking very angry.
"Tobi, we need to talk."
"About what?" Tobi asks with a hint of fear in her voice.
"Come outside, now."
They stand a meter a part. Tobi can practically feel the anger seeping out of her.
"I told you not to use your magic," she says, in a voice that feels as though she is trying not to yell.
"It was just the little stuff, not anything too much.
"Tobi, a little bit over a long period of time makes a lot and it's had repercussions, serious ones."
"What kind of repercussions?" Tobi asks, genuinely afraid now.
"There are rumours," she says gravely. "Dangerous things are stirring, in other worlds and in this one."
"Dangerous things?"
"I'd rather not speak of them.," she sighs.
"Then why have you come here?" Tobi asks, already knowing what she'll say.
