Tobi's eyes open fast. She sits up and feels strangely light. Her eyes aren't hazy and her muscles aren't heavy.
She pulls her phone off the bedside table to check the time.
"Six am?" She groans out loud. She suddenly realise she isn't tired. Tumblr for an hour then.

"Can anyone tell me when the Industrial revolution began?" Mrs D'elle asks her period three history class. Tobi shoots her hand in the air.
"Some time around the 1770's" She smiles.
"Correct" The teacher nods. Tobi beams and gets an elbow in the ribs from Lilly.
"Show off" she whispers.
The teacher hands out their work and they get to work. Tobi found it hard to concentrate and was constantly looking around. She stared down at the paper trying to focus but her mind kept drifting to more pleasurable things like lunch and the episode of Haikyu she watched last night.
The bell finally rings and they file out of the classroom.
"What do we have now?" Angie asks as she swings her bag over her shoulder.
"English" Tris groans.
"Come on, it's not that bad" Tobi encourages in a bright and cheery tone of voice.
"How are you so peppy" Lilly rolls her eyes "It's only nine thirty"

"I hope you are all are very excited for a group project" Mr Talli smiles widely. The class groans.
"And I'll be using a random group generator to sort the groups" He says in a cheery voice. The teens start protesting but the teacher raises his hands commanding silence.
"Come on now, it will be great to get to know each other" He argues, this did not cease the unhappy moans of the fourteen year olds.
He plugged his laptop into the overhead projector and beams the site onto the board.
"What if we get Natasha or someone. I think I'll die" Angie sighs dramatically.
Mr Talli enters all the names into a text box and set the group max to four. He clicks the blue Submit button and the page stalls for a second making the class sit in anticipation.
The page changes and Tobi looks hurriedly for her name.
Christopher, Tobi, Eleanor, Hugo
She shrugs. She was on friendly terms with all of those people so it wouldn't be a problem.
"Ughhh" Angie groans beside her. Tobi scans the board for her name and giggles when she sees it in the same group as Natasha.
"Good luck on getting anything done" She pats her sulking friend on the back.
"Sir" Michael calls out "You haven't told us what we are going to be doing"
"Your assignment" Mr Talli begins "Is to make a short film around five minutes in length. It must be about discrimination and other than that you can basically do what ever you want. I'll give you the rest of the lesson to plan but I encourage you to continue at home on a google doc"
Tobi gets out of her seat, carrying her pencil case and laptop over to the table where Christopher and Hugo already sits. She sits next to Hugo and he flashes her a toothy grin which she returns.
"Alright I reckon the bet way to go about this is give everyone jobs" Eleanor proposes. The group nods in agreement. "Chris you do art don't you?" Chris nods shyly. "Do you want to be camera man?" He nods furiously this time.
"Tobi you're good at English right?" Tobi didn't know how to react to the complement
"Uh, I guess so" Her face heats up, unable to take a complement.
"You can write the script if you want" Eleanor smiles. Tobi is glad that this is the nice Eleanor instead of her nasty penumbra version.
"Hugo, um" Tobi inwardly laughs a little at Eleanor not finding a job for Hugo. "You can help Tobi if you want" He shrugs and swings back on his chair.
"I'll set up a doc, what are your emails?" Tobi opens her laptop and navigates to google documents.
"Eleanor.Petrivic" Eleanor says, the rest of the school email is the same for everyone.
"Hugo.Kaleb" Hugo says over her shoulder. "With a K" He corrects when Tobi types a C.
"Christopher.Marks" Chris murmurs. Tobi presses the blue Share button and then titles the document. The Super Amazing A-Grade Worthy Film Extravaganza.
"Bit much isn't it?" Hugo laughs as he opens the document on his own laptop.
By the end of the lesson they had assigned everyone a character, even if it took a bit of persuading to get Christopher in front of the camera even for just a scene. They also set the basic plot of the film and typed a few ideas up.
Tobi packs her things and rushes out the door. She zips her bag up and swings it over her shoulder.
"Oh Angie" She calls out "How was it?" She asks mockingly. Angie simply throws her a death glare. Tobi laughs and walks to their lunch spot with Lilly.
Unfortunately for Tobi, during lunch the topic of conversation turned to crushes.
"Ew you like him?" Charlie laughs when Milly admits her crush on some sporty boy that Tobi didn't know the face of.
"I don't care. He is just so dreamy" Milly leans back onto her palms.
"What about you Tobi?" Skylar asks, turning to the girl sitting next to her.
"Uh , no one" Tobi replies, ten times more interested in the cheese sandwich she's eating than the conversation.
"Okay, who was your last crush then" She asks. Tobi stops. "No one, I haven't really thought about it"
That was a lie. Not that she had never had a crush but she has thought about it a lot.
Ever since fourth grade and all her friends started talking about boys they liked Tobi always felt a little repulsed. She was told she would grow into it when she came home crying from school one day, she never did. She never looked at any boy, or even any girl for that matter and wanted a relationship. In these moments, when Tobi remembers this is when she feels most broken and alone.
"Earth to Tobi, earth to Tobi" Daisy snaps her out of her thoughts.
"Sorry" Tobi shakes her head. "Just dazed off for a minute"
Luckily, her friends find something else to talk about so she can take her mind off it.
A/N Hey Y'all.
How are you doing. I decided to move the plot along a bit and you also found out a little bit about Tobi. Well, I'm in class now and I've almost been caught on wattpad plenty of times. I'll see you in the next chapter.
