3 years later.

Taehyung stared at Jungkook, both unmoving and holding each other's gazes.

Except only one of them was alive.

Well, kind of.

Taehyung huffed a breath and crossed his arms, reading the neon pink text below Jungkook's giant face on the digital poster plastered on the glass wall outside of a bus stop.

Taehyung met Jungkook's gaze again. He wish he could say the kid got ugly since he last saw him three years ago, but that would be a blatant lie. Jungkook looked good. His skin was golden, he had piercings in his ears and his lip. From seeing him previously on other posters and on social media, Taehyung also knew he had tattoos now.

Taehyung would never admit he had a thing for tattoos.

His fist clenched at his side. He was faintly aware of people passing him on the street and he probably looked like a crazy person, but these people didn't know. They didn't know that he's the Kim Taehyung, famous IMG Model, and that he used to date the Jeon Jungkook, famous pop star.

Rumors never even circled about the two of them. Taehyung wasn't entirely surprised. When they were together, it was only for a couple of months. They didn't even get the chance to make it Facebook official. They never got the chance to post pictures of each other on Instagram.

It was like they never existed, not as a unit. It's like they were always Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook, never in the same sentence.

Taehyung genuinely didn't know if that was a blessing or a curse.

The shrill ring of his phone pulled him out of his dazed state. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and lifted it to his ear, carefully maneuvering it underneath his bucket hat. He pressed the phone against the fabric of his black mask and the metal of his sunglasses.

He was used to this by now, always having to cover his face. Him and all of his friends were technically celebrities now. Paparazzi followed them everywhere. People stopped him on the street and asked him to sign covers of magazines that had his face on it.

"Yes?" He answered, already knowing who was on the other end and exactly what they were going to say.

"Tae, if you're late to another photoshoot with Vogue, I'm going to personally kick your ass," Jin hissed. "What are you even doing?"

"I saw a poster of Jungkook at a bus stop." That was all he needed to say. This happened surprisingly often. Jin didn't even make a comment about it.

"Get your ass here now, Tae." Jin hung up.

Taehyung pocketed his phone, took one last look at digital Jungkook, and turned around.
