Festivia and Eclipsa sat down by a round tea table that was in the bedroom; Loukal was beside Eclipsa, after she sipped some tea she spoke to Festivia.

Eclipsa, "A lot must be going through your mind right now".

Festivia, "Gee you think; you're having an affair with a monster, dad knows about it, and your pregnant with the monster's kids; what's exactly going on"!?

Eclipsa, "Festivia darling, me and your father, we.....we don't love each other".

Festivia, "What? But you and dad are married".

Loukal, "Your mother and I never chose to be married, it was chosen for us".

Eclipsa, "Your grandmother, Solaria made arrangements with your father's parents for him and I to be...married".

Festivia, "W...why"?

Eclipsa, "Because of the Great Septarian war".

Festivia, "The war grandma fought in".

Eclipsa, "In...indeed; it was a devastating war"

Festivia, "I get that the war was huge and bloody, but what does that have to do with your arranged marriage"?

Eclipsa, "When your grand mother was queen; the Butterfly kingdom was still young and had a population less than fifth teen thousand; the warriors of the monster realms were rallied under a cruel and diabolical Sepptarian warlord named...Seth of Septaris. He organized the warriors of each monster realm into powerful army numbering around a hundred thousand not to just to reclaim lands taken during the reign of the first Butterfly queen, but to wipe out every Mewman in the Butterfly kingdom and beyond".

Festivia, "How the heck did we manage to win and I've got to pay more attention to Glossaryck's history lessons".

Eclipsa, "We were vastly out numbered, so your grandmother sent envoys to every kingdom in mewni to form an alliance against Seth's army, she approached the kingdoms of Johansen, Pony head, Waterfolk, Satyr, Lucitor, Pie folk, Xeratecs (oc kingdom populated by humanoid Jaguars) and even the, ughh, spider-bites and many more; she even willingly accepted the assistance from wisdom tree's brother (another oc character) in the form of the morally questionable solarian warrior project".

Festivia, "Wait, Wisdom tree has a brother".

Eclipsa, "Yes, but we don't talk about him, ever;

Festivia, "why"?

Eclipsa, "Another discussion for another time; let's get back to the story, where was I again".

Festivia, "You were talking about grandma and Mewman kingdoms".

Eclipsa, "Oh right a course, your grandmother made many deals to secure support against Seth's forces, she made land Concessions, trade deals, divorced your grandfather Alphonse in order to marry the Xeratec king's brother to gain Xeratec support, she married off her brother to the spider bites, and arranged me to marry Loukal to secure Satyr participation".

Festivia, "So wait, you two were forced into an arranged marriage just so grandma can have allies to fight a war with".

Eclipsa, "I wouldn't put like that but yes; with most of the kingdoms of Mewni backing Solaria, the butterfly kingdom stood a chance, but war was long and devastating, with lands scarred by the war like, the forest of certain death, the hill of flags, the mewni river, and the siege of butterfly castle, the same battle where your grandmother gained the title, The Monster carver; after many years, the Great Septarian war ended at the battle of Sorrow Fields, your grandmother defeated and routed the monster army and sent that cruel and conniving warlord Seth packing, but your grandmother was fatally wounded during the battle, and a few hours after the battle, she....she died".
