The civil war known as The Dragonfly Revolt, was not like no other war in the history of Mewni, the war itself wasn't limited to the lands of the butterfly kingdom, the war stretched all across the lands of Mewni, as entire kingdoms pledged their armies to either Asterid Dragonfly or Festivia butterfly.
Where entire families were torn apart, their loyalties divided between Asterid Dragonfly and Festivia Butterfly, sister fought against sister, brother fought against brother, sibling fought against sibling, they all fought, bled and died in the name of their respective queens in the Bloodbath that was, the Dragonfly revolt.
Kingdoms that sided with Festivia Butterfly were, Lucitors 25k soldiers, Ponyheads 10k soldiers, Waterfolk 15k soldiers, Jaggy 10k soldiers, Pie folk 0 soldiers, Spiderbites 20k soldiers, Xeratecs 20k soldiers, Johansens 15k soldiers, Satyr 9k soldiers, their armies added Festivia's 1k soldiers totaled,125k soldiers, forming the Butterfly army, along with the Magic High Commission, and 200 Solarians aiding Festivia's cause.

While the Butterfly forces outnumbered the Dragonfly forces, Asterid used her the magical Hilt's powers to make her armies stronger, and replacing her female flyers's Butterfly wings with Dragonfly wings, making them faster and deadlier, plus Dr. Psychabolts gave Asterid's forces powerful machines of war, like airships, canons, gigantic mechs, and more many, he also gifted a few thousand soldier the ability to wield magic making them extremely powerful.
The first battle took place at the Spiderbite-Hadria border, King Shastacan sent out an army of 10k soldiers to crush the Hadrian kingdom, he hoped to gain glory and new territory, but instead of facing a host 5k, the Spiderbites force faced a Dragonfly host of 13k,
Velphi spies informed the Asterid about the Spidebite attack, with the help of the airship she was able to transport 8k soldiers to reinforce Hadria, along with 30 Dragonfly Solarian warriors and 5 Magical Chaos Consortium members, the Dragonfly forces won the first battle of the war, and thanks to Spiderbite incompetence and overwhelming magic power the Dragonfly forces only suffered 1k casualties, while the butterfly forces suffered 7k casualties, and while the surviving 3k soldiers were captured and taken prisoner.
Five days later, the Dragonfly forces retaliated by sending 50 Dragonfly Solarian warriors to Spiderbite capitol, and assassinated King Shastacan, the Spiderbites were temporarily thrown into chaos by the assassination, allowing the Dragonfly forces to march into Spiderbite territory unchallenged, the Butterfly forces moved in to oppose the Dragonfly advance, drawing the first of many frontlines of the war.
