present time. . .

"Fuck," I whispered to myself, brushing my hair up after sitting up from my bed.

A dream of a memory. Fuck. I hated how I remembered everything in detail of how we started together back then.

I took my phone, and it's 2:00 AM. Too early. I have a shoot later at 11:00 AM located in BigHit Entertainment. I know to myself that there's little possibility of me getting back to sleep, so I took my phone with me, and went to the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee.

I messaged Soobin, asking if he was still awake, and good thing, he was. My phone rang, and I immediately answered it.

"Hey, babe," I greeted him on call.

"Hey... Why are you still up? It's late."

"You should ask that to yourself though," I smiled thinking how busy he is at home with his papers of cases that he's handling. I appreciate how hardworking he is ever since I met him. It makes him look so manly.

"Yeah, I'm still in the office. I am not alone though, everyone is having a busy night," I grimaced at the thought that he's still in his office with everyone there. By everyone I mean his co-lawyer, Miss Arin. I feel like that woman has feelings from Soobin, I just never get the evidence to prove it to him.

When I discussed it with Soobin, he laughed. Yes, he laughed it off because I looked cute acting so jealous. I wasn't jealous, I was pissed at the woman. She doesn't know what "taken" means.

Soobin talks about the cases he handles in between talking to other people, who asks for advices. He is one of the best in his firm after all.

I hesitated before saying, "Is Arin there?"

"What?" Soobin asks. He continues to talk to his colleagues.

I smiled to myself. I must be overreacting. "Can't you do your work at home?" I ask him.

"What?" He asks. The call ender. I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. I sighed to myself, accepting the fact that we can't talk because he's too busy.

I sipped from my cup of coffee, and suddenly, my phone rang once again. I answered quickly. "Babe?"

"Babe? Do you answer everyone's call and call them babe?" I am used to coffee's palpitations, but this time, my hand shakes uncontrollably, spilling all my coffee on the countertop.

"Beomgyu. How did you get my number?" I ask, calming my nerves.

"From Yeonjun." I hesitated asking why he called, so instead, I stayed silent. Something that he's used to doing, I believe.

I switched my app to the messages, a text came from Soobin, informing me that he can't talk right now because of his work.
