Chapter 2

Leo's P.O.V

"Piper! Leo! Split up!" I heard Percy yell. I ran to the left, Piper ran to the right and Percy ran straight ahead. I ran, dodging people, pushing through the crowds. I ran into a shop and hid behind a clothing rack. I panted, my heart slowly calming. An idea popped into my mind. I lit my finger on fire and put it against a shirt hanging from the clothing rack. It instantly caught fire, setting the rest of the clothes alight. I ran around screaming,

"Fire! There's a fire! Run away!" My plan worked. People screamed and ran away. The fire sirens blared and I grinned. I ran around, collecting things I would need. I wasn't paid any attention as there was so much chaos. Toothpaste, charcoal, sugar, baking soda, matches, bug spray and aluminium foil. I got all the stuff I needed for a Flash-bang. I remembered when we went to Bologna in the Giant war. That was when I first made the improvised flash-bang. It was when the Kerkopes, these strange monkey dwarves with absolutely no fashion sense, stole all of our stuff. I walked out of the shop and started running. As I ran, I started to build the flash-bang.

"Hey you! Stop!" I heard someone shout. Then I heard an earth shattering roar. I glanced behind me and a giant green monster.

And it was running straight at me.
