"Why does your name sound so familiar? Have we met?"

"No. Not that I can remember."

...

"There's no skipping sessions with me, and I do not tolerate tardiness."

_

"I'm sorry Tess," I apologised to my best friend, "Mr. Wallace will not be able to let me skip another training session again. You should go with James."

"Going with James will make things worse, especially when they're already pissed, Y/n/n," Tessa complained, her voice loud enough for the person outside the telephone booth to hear, "You need to explain to them that I did NOT spend the night at James'. Please, Y/n."

"Tess, you are twenty-three," I sighed as I closed my eyes, "It doesn't matter where you spent your nights, and if I were you, I would just tell your parents that James and I have been dating for four years. And are planning to get married next year. You can't keep it away from them forever, Tess."

"You know I can't," Tessa continued

"Do they even know where you spent your night?" I asked her, "Maybe it's just a casual dinner."

"My family don't have casual dinners, Y/n," I could imagine her rolling her eyes through her tone, "It's definitely about James. They've been against it since the beginning."

"Alright. Fine. But this is going to be the last time," I finally gave in, "But I'm not sure if Mr. Wallace will be able to–"

"Alright, alright. I got it. You are busy, and I am really, really sorry, but I can't tell them. Not yet," Tessa said, "I'll see you back at my parents'. Love you!"

"Too," I hung up the phone and sighed once again. This is going to be the third time this month I miss a training session. I'm pretty sure that the Boards of the Auror office are considering getting rid of me by now.

Nervously, I walked into Mr Wallace's office. The third time I've been here and for the same reasons.

"Mr Wallace, I–" I began but he seemed to already know the reason why I'm here.

"Have another sudden inconvenience to attend to?"

I let out a nervous laugh, "Yeah."

"Is it really that important?"

I thought about it a little while. Considering that Tessa's parents are part of the pureblood families who supported Voldemort, it's not a big surprise that they are incredibly against the concept of Muggleborns. They would've been in prison now. That is if they were actually Death Eaters, but to Tessa's luck, they are smart enough not to join him. And to their luck, their one and only daughter fell in love with one. Tessa and James have been dating for at least four years now, and he had proposed to her two months ago. Tessa has been hiding all this from her parents since forever ago– which I find a bit ridiculous since her parents have never actually made an official statement that they are against their relationship. I have convinced her to just let her parents know multiple times, and I'll be sure that today is going to be the last time I do it, "Yeah. And I promise that–"
