Chapter 4: Farm Chores

LEE POV

?: Hey get up.

I get up to see a guy with a mustache, and that Clem and Y/N already up.

Clem: [scratches her arm] I'm itchy.

Y/N: I'm fine.

?: Well, you slept in a barn, little lady. Lucky you don't have spiders in your hair.

Clem gasps and looks up at her hair.

Y/N POV

I couldn't help but laugh at Clem being spooked.

Y/N: (playfully) Is someone scared of the itsy bitsy spider?

Clem gives me a death glare and punches my shoulder.

Clem: I told you that you were the mean one.

Y/N: I mean you're not wrong.

I then pull her into a hug and she hugs back.

Y/N: I'm sorry... That you're afraid of spiders.

Clem looks at me with an angry look.

Y/N: In all seriousness I'm sorry.

Clem: I don't forgive you.

I gasp.

Y/N: I know what'll make you change your mind.

Clem: What?

I then start to tickle her which makes her laugh uncontrollably... Again.

Clem; [laughing] Alright I forgive you!

I stop then smile.

Y/N; Thank you.

?: I was gonna say I bet your daddy and boyfriend scared 'em all away, huh?

Me and Clem both blush.

Y/N/Clem: We're just friends.

?: Sure.

Lee: I'm not their dad. Name's Lee.

?: I'm Kenny.

? runs up to the entrance of the barn.

?: Dad! We're gonna build a fence! There's a tractor and everything!

? runs off.

Kenny: We better get going or we won't hear the end of it.

Kenny and Lee walk out of the barn, and Clem and I walk along with them. I hold Clem's hand.

Kenny: That's my boy, Ken Junior. We call him Duck, though.

Lee: Dodging or quacking?

Kenny: Quacking.

Duck: DAAAAD!

Kenny: See?

Lee, Kenny, Clem and I walk up to Duck and his mother, the latter of which is sitting on some bales of hay in front of the porch.

Kenny: The word is you were on your way to Macon.

Lee: My family is from there.

Kenny: Well, Macon's on the way and, personally, I'd appreciate the company of a guy who can knock a couple of heads together if he has to.

Lee: Sure, we'll...tag along.

Kenny: It's a plan, then.

Kenny turns to his wife and son.

Kenny: Katjaa, Duck, this is Lee and, uh, what's the kids names?

Clem hides behind me.

Lee: Clementine and...
