I'm gonna try and do a basic overview and hit all the main points of what I would've written to lead up to the next scene. Two things to say, Ben Solo (Kylo Ren) has a twin sister in this story. Her name is Breanna (Brea for short) and I'm stealing her character from my friend (not entirely stealing because she wanted me to include her and I said "bet"). Second thing, Briar gets to be a Jedi. There are Kylo Ren origin comics where it tells the story of how he turned to the dark side and so I've read bits and pieces to use to base my story off of. She magically gets there (she steals some stuff from the Solo's in the last scene) (the two kids are Ben and Brea as children) (they're adorable) and meets Brea and Ben. Time passes, Ben starts leaning to the dark side, temple gets burnt down, Ben-Now-Kylo was gonna go meet Snoke but mwahaha Briar had prepared for this and called Han Solo. Now Ben is back home for a bit and Briar ends up in the first order, Brea in the rebellion. A little more time, Briar has been in the First Order for a while but Kylo Ren appears one day (and Briar is slightly annoyed because she gave up her freedom to be in the first order) (she didn't entirely want to be there, she just wanted to prevent her friends from falling to the dark side). Briar makes her great escape and ends up back with Eryx and a few of her friends on a planet not far from Jakku.

If I do get around to writing some of these scenes, I will post them here and let y'all know in future chapters in the notes or something.

(Briar: About 9ish; Ben and Breanna: about 11)

The sand colored building towers over her. Children about her age train with lightsabers inside the walls, blocking and attempting to attack a little floating orb-shaped droid. It shoots lasers at random intervals, hitting a few of the kids and they jump. It doesn't look fun, or painless, but still excitement returns to her. Giddy, she rushes through the front doors, the temperature immediately dropping.

Briar sits alone at the base of a tree. It's peaceful out this morning, with a slight breeze making the heat more bearable. She glances up from her reading from time to time so close her eyes and take in her surroundings. It's almost like Master Skywalker's meditating, but better. She's not feeling for the force, but for a tether to her surroundings. To reality. The leaves rustle against one another. The wind shifts her hair and threatens to turn her page. The creek beside the temple smells like fresh rainwater and flowers bloom just around the corner, by yet another tree. The bark is rough against the skin of her back and a wonderful support for leaning. She glances back down at her book, one of the ancient Jedi texts, filled to the brim with information she's been itching for. Answers to the most miniscule questions she's had since beginning her training like the way things work. Like lightsabers. Truly incredible engineering.

"What are you doing?" A voice says from behind her. Briar glances up, her gaze meeting that of a girl just a year or so older than her. Drat that's the girl. She panics internally, keeping her features calm as can be.

"Reading," she responds. The other girl hums in response.

"In your freetime?" Briar nods.

"Yeah. Do you not?" The girl rolls her eyes, holding her hair back with one arm.
"Of course I do. Occasionally," she answers innocently.

"Sure," Briar replies, sarcasm lacing her tone as she looks away from her. She traces the words with her finger, trying to find her previous place as she tries to ignore the other girl...

"Ok," Briar freezes, caught off guard, "But why the ancient texts? Why the most boring, long, and annoying books in the galaxy?" She scowls as the girl, still hanging from the tree above her.

"Because, they're important. And we have to read them. Haven't you read them?" Briar scowls. "Probably not," she mutters under her breath. The girl pulls herself upright on the branch before scooting herself off the edge, swinging down to the ground. She brushes off her tan robes and steps towards Briar, her arms crossed.
