~5 years later~

I start to stir in bed and don't feel Chris laying down next to me, but instead Dodger has taken over his place in bed. I turn over to Dodger and scratch his head as he lays it down on my stomach.

As I lay in bed patting Dodger's head, I chuckle to myself as I hear the soft giggles coming from outside the door. I pretend to be asleep not wanting to spoil the surprise. I hear Chris gently whispering as he opens our bedroom door.

There's a tray set next to me on the bed before two little voices ring out in the air. "Surprise! Happy Mother's day!"

I sit up with Chris' help and widely grin at our twin boys. "Did you boys make me breakfast?"

"Daddy helped, look, we made you eggs, toast and bacon!" Liam James says with his excited blue eyes shining.

"It looks delicious, thank you boys." I look at Chris' little mini me's with a big smile.

Noah Oliver comes over to me and gently hugs me before giving me a kiss on the cheek. I softly chuckle as I give him a kiss back.

It was a shock to find out that I was pregnant with twins two years into our marriage. I had forgotten the possibility of having them considering my mom is a twin. They were a huge shock, but an immense blessing.

Chris sits next to me on the bed handing me a card before softly kissing me. "Happy mother's day love."

"Thank you." I lean my forehead against his as he rubs my protruding belly.

"How's little man doing today?" I laugh as we both feel him kick Chris' hand.

"He's very active." The twins come over to me and put their hands on my belly, feeling their little brother kick them as well.

"Well, after breakfast, I have set up our bathroom as a mini spa, and we are going to pamper you all day, so hopefully little Daniel Mason will calm down." I laugh a little as I set the tray on my lap.

Chris pulls Dodger off the bed and kisses me softly. He takes Dodger and the boys with him out of the room to give me a quiet breakfast in bed. I turn the television on and happily start to munch on my breakfast as our little boy happily moves in me.

I couldn't be happier than I am right now. Chris and I have been married now for five years, and it has been amazing. We've had our ups and downs, but we have grown closer through all of it. He's the most amazing husband and father. And becoming a mother was the biggest blessing of all. As I sit here surrounded by some of the most important men in the world to me, I can't help but think that Alex had a hand in this. His memory pushed me to move away from Tennessee and find a new place to start fresh. I will always love him, but I am now loved by the most wonderful man and little boys in the world.
