The next morning I wake up to knocking on the door. My back and neck ache, as I realize I fell asleep on the living room floor. Mike is still asleep on the other side of the living room.
I get up trying to tame my unruly hair. I tie it up in a messy bun with the hair tie I always keep on my wrist, before opening the door.
I meet Chris' amused eyes. "Did you just wake up?"
He chuckles at my small yawn. "Yeah, sorry, we stayed up late and apparently fell asleep on the floor."
Chris laughs before leaning down and capturing my lips in a small sweet kiss. "Good morning, beautiful."
I feel the blush creep on my face. "Good morning. Come in. Mike is still asleep."
We walk into my apartment to see Mike slowly stirring from his sleep. He sits up and stretches his back before he turns and sees us.
"Well, you must be Chris." He stands up and comes to shake Chris' hand.
"Yeah, hi, it's nice to meet you Mike!"
"It's nice to meet you too! So, you're going to be our tour guide for the day?"
"Yeah, I am! I'm excited to show you around. I was born and raised here, and I love the history of the city!" Chris has a beaming smile on his face.
I lean over and kiss his cheek quickly. "Give us a minute to get ready, and then we'll head out."
"We can get breakfast at Mike's before we start walking around downtown." I nod excitedly.
"I love Mike's! You'll love it Mike! It reminded me a lot of our diners in Tennessee." Mike smiles, his dimples matching mine.
"So, I see dimples run in the family." Mike chuckles softly.
"Actually it's just us, and our mom." Chris nods with a smile.
"Alright, let's get ready, or we'll never get out of here!" The boys chuckle at me before nodding.
I head to my room to get ready. Fall is coming soon and the weather is starting to drop. It's not completely cold yet, but the nights have definitely started to drop in temperature.
After I do my morning routine, I finally decide on an outfit that's cute, practical and comfortable. I choose a pair of black distressed skinny jeans, a white crop top shirt with a red and black plaid long sleeve shirt over it, and white canvas shoes. I put my hair into two long braids, and do minimal makeup, knowing we would be walking around quite a bit. I grab a mini backpack, and head out to the living room.
Mike and Chris are talking animatedly about football. I walk in and they both turn to look at me. Mike looks at me with a quirked eyebrow, while Chris looks at me with a bit of lust in his eyes. I roll my eyes at my brother's over protective look.
"Alright boys, let's go. I'm hungry." They both chuckle as they follow me out the door.
The drive is pretty animated with Chris and Mike getting to know each other better, and Mike, like the great big brother he is, tells plenty of embarrassing stories to Chris. I get red in the face when he tells him about my ballet recital as a 4 year old.
"The kids are all introducing themselves, and because Charlie is extra as can be, she introduced herself as Charlotte Barbie Ariel." Chris lets out a loud laugh while clutching his left pectoral.
I madly blush. "I just really liked Barbie and The Little Mermaid! Sue me!" My brother joins in the laughter, both of them with tears running down their faces.
"Mom still calls her by that name from time to time, just to mess with her!" I shake my head trying to hide the little smile that wants to make its place on my lips.
