Chapter 4: a Harpy with No Clue

(3rd POV)

It has been 2 days since Riley and Miia went out on their first date with each other, and Riley's parents called him on messenger as they both heard everything about Riley and his best friend Ethan has a real-life lamia. And also, how Miia has some love interest with Riley.

Riley said, "Yeah. Our Homestay is really a lamia. And lamias are like half women and half snake. But Miia is really a nice person. She's also very caring. Well, too caring."

Wes asked, "Interesting. I never heard of those people before. But what really matters, is that they're all one of a kind. Oh, and by the way Ri-man, is she hot?"

Riley got embarrassed and said, "Dad!"

Melissa said, "He's just kidding, Riley. We also heard about that you and your guys' new friend went out on a date. How did it turn out?"

Riley said, "Well, turn it out okay. Miia and I did have a good time with each other."

Melissa asked, "Wait. Ethan wasn't there with you?"

Riley said, "Yeah, he said he doesn't want to be a third wheel. He just wants me and Miia to have some alone time with each other."

Wes said, "Well Riley, it's a good thing that Ethan is your best friend because he seems to be a good gentleman when it comes to you going out with a beautiful girl."

Riley said, "That he does, Dad. Ethan maybe a bit goofy but he is a good friend. Oh, and guys, do you remember how you both are completely worried if I did something that I should not be doing?"

Melissa got worried and asked, "Yes, why? What happened? Are you alright?"

Riley said, "Yeah Mom, I'm alright. But do either of you guys get worried if I get into fights with some jerk-offs? And you both told me to don't cause conflicts?"

Melissa got shocked and asked, "You just seriously fought someone?!"

Riley tugged his shirt's collar and said, "Yeah but before you get worried even more, just hear me out please."

Wes said, "We're both listening. Be sure to give us details and we'll both understand."

Riley said, "Okay. There were some racist jerk-offs that kept harassing Miia by calling her a worm. And how they both keep asking how am I going to, well you know something too much to say."

Wes got concerned and asked, "And then what happened?"

Riley said, "I got really mad from what those jerks said about Miia. So, I punched one of them really hard on the face."

Melissa sighed a relief and said, "Well that's understandable. But please be really careful out there. And the next time if those idiots come near you and your girlfriend again, just call the police, okay?"

Riley said, "Okay."

Wes asked, "When you punched one of those guys on the face, did you get hurt? Did that dingus fought you back?"

Riley shook his head and said, "No, I'm fine. But my right hand is still a bit sore from it. And Miss Smith had a court with those two."

Melissa asked, "Who's Miss Smith?"

Riley said, "She's mine and Ethan's coordinator who gave us this mansion and Miia to look after."

Wes said, "Hm. Is that so? Well, it's time for your mom and me to get back to work. We'll both talk to you later."

Melissa said, "Be sure you, Miia, and Ethan have some good time out there, Riley."

Riley said, "I will. Bye, I love you."
