Chapter 31: Riley's Birthday Special

(3rd POV)

5 days have passed since Mero's mother has accepted Ethan as her future son in law and how the Dreadful Sea Witch Squidulla is now seafoam and now him, Riley and the others returned to the mansion. One day later, Ethan was about to go practice karate as the others are still asleep, except for Luis and Cerea who woke up early for both of their morning jogs, until Ethan apparently has a phone call from his parents.

He answered the call and asked, "Hello?"

JulieAnn and Dave said, "Morning, Ethan!"

Ethan smiled and said, "Hey. Morning, Guys!"

JulieAnn asked, "How you doing?"

Ethan said, "Fine."

Dave asked, "Anything exciting happened?"

Ethan said with a smile, "The only exciting thing happened was that I met Mero's Mother. And she just accepted and wants me to call her Mother."

Julie asked in an exciting tone, "Already?!"

Dave asked, "What made her like you that quick?"

Ethan was hesitating to tell them what happened but he was nervous about what's going to happen if he tells them that he was cursed by Squidulla and how he defeated her and saved the Mermaid Kingdom. Ethan thought that his parents would be mad if he told them everything until he was snapped back to reality by.....

Dave yelled, "Ethan!!"

Ethan asked, "What?"

Both of his parents gave Ethan some worried look on their faces.

JulieAnn asked, "Are you okay? You look like there's something bad happening to you or something."

Ethan shook his head and said, "Oh no. (smiled kindly) It's nothing. The fancy restaurant that Mero's Mother has treated both Mero and me to had some chefs being absent, so I called Riley and Luis to come down so we gave the chefs some extra hands to help them prepare like a royal banquette of some kind. And it turned out well at the end. And that's why Mero's Mother liked me."

Dave said, "Wow! You sure have the guts to impress Mero's Mother that much."

Ethan said with a sweat drop, "Well. (tugs his own shirt collar) I was doing it to help the chefs, Dad. Oh and Riley and I, even the others met Mero's Mother at the Hotel for Aquatic Demi-humans."

JulieAnn asked, "Wait. There's a Hotel for like Mermaids and what not?"

Ethan said, "Yeah. And I just called it a 'Mermaid Paradise' because the Hotel itself is like Awesomely Radical! I even had a look around and it was like near a beach....."

(Flash Back)

(Ethan's POV)

After my recovery after turning that Sea Witch into an overgrown fried calamari, I had a look around the hotel and the beach itself. And I was amazed at how everything looks like the other Hotels I've been to back at Vegas, like Silverton. I saw some fishman musicians looking all sad because they said they lost their music notes. I had an idea as I printed some music notes and staple them together and gave them to the fish dudes.

I said, "Here you go, Dudes. Now rock on!"

The Fish Dudes looked at each other confused until they shrugged their shoulders and began to play the music.

As the music played, everyone in the community came around all amazed because of it. Even the Fishmen kids dance to it.

I said, "That my friends is a classic there!"
