A few weeks after Ivy's birthday, Angie and Matt were finishing up a confusing case. Zoe was out of the office for the day because she was sick. But, it was Zoe, so she kept on working anyway, even if she was working in bed.

They finished the case at about 5:00, then left to go pick up Ivy. She was staying with Nora that day. When they got to the door, Angie rang the doorbell. She could hear Ivy squealing. She was only a year old, but she knew her parents were there to pick her up. Nora came to the door to let Angie and Matt in.

"Hi Mom," Angie said, giving her a hug.

"Hi Honey, hi Matt!"

"Hey Nora!" Matt gave her a hug. When the three were done greeting each other, they went to the kitchen where they saw Ivy in her high chair.

"Hi baby!" Angie went over to her and picked her up and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Were you good for Grandma today?"

"She was very good! We watched a movie and played with some blocks." Before going around to pick up Ivy's things, Angie handed her over to Matt. Once she was in his arms, he gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey Sweetie! Are you ready to see Jules tonight?"

Ivy smiled at hearing her sister's name. A few minutes later, the three left Nora's house and headed home. When they got inside, they saw Jules on her phone in the kitchen.

"Hey honey, how was school today," Matt asked, giving her a kiss on the head.

"It was good! We had a math test today, and I nailed it!"

"That's great," Angie exclaimed as she put Ivy in her high chair. The three kept talking while Angie and Matt made dinner. After dinner, they all went to the living room to watch a movie. Jules sat in the chair next to the couch. Matt was at one end of the couch. Angie was right next to Matt and had Ivy snuggled in her arms. Ivy was asleep within five minutes and Jules fell asleep about halfway through the movie.

Throughout the movie, Angie and Matt were talking to each other. Sometimes they would talk about the agency and cases. Sometimes they would just talk about life and how their day went, even if they were only an office away from each other. At the end of the movie, Matt looked around at his wife and daughters. Angie looked back at him and smiled, then looked at Ivy and Jules. Neither of them could imagine their lives any different.

"So," Angie said. "This is life now?"

"Yeah," Matt confirmed. Angie moved closer to him and Matt put his arm around her. "This is life now. And I wouldn't change it for anything."
