After they left, they had to go to the store to get something to eat for dinner. It was a Jules night, so she would also be at Matt's house tonight. Matt had brought in the carrier to keep Ivy in, so he put her in the cart and Angie pushed it.

"So, what does Jules usually like for dinner," Angie asked.

"She'll eat anything really. She's not really picky." They finished buying food and then headed back to Matt's house. By the time they got there, Jules was already there waiting.

"Hey honey," Matt said going to give Jules a hug.

"Hi Dad!"

"Hey Jules," Angie said, also going to give her a hug.

"Hey Angie!" When Jules hugged Angie, she felt something rub against her side. When she felt it, she assumed it was a baby carrier. "Is this the baby you told me about?"

"Jules, this is Ivy," Matt said.

"Can I hold her?"

"Yeah, of course," Angie said, taking Ivy out of the carrier. Angie placed her in Jules' arms, and Jules went to sit on the couch. "Wow, she's really good with kids!"

"Well, Liam does have a younger sister, so that might have something to do with it."

"True."

"Hey Jules, does pasta sound good for dinner tonight," Matt asked.

"Yeah, that sounds great!" Angie started boiling water for the noodles and Matt started making the sauce.

"Do you need help with anything?" Angie stood next to Matt.

"No, I don't think so. All I'm doing is putting the ingredients into this bowl and mixing them together." The water was starting to boil, so Angie put the noodles into the pot. After a while, Ivy started crying, so Jules brought her into the kitchen. Since Matt was still making the pasta sauce, Jules handed Ivy over to Angie so she could hold her. She figured that she was hungry, so she asked Matt to make a bottle of milk for her. He was done making the sauce, so he was able to do that.

"There you go." Angie started to feed Ivy. Shortly after she was done eating, the pasta was done, so the other three were able to start eating.

"This is really good," Jules said after she took a bite.

"Yes, it is," Angie said.

"So, how exactly did you two end up with Ivy?"

"Her parents just left her in a cardboard box inside the door of the agency," Matt said.

"A box with holes. Not that it makes it a whole lot better."

"But why would someone do that?"

"All the note said was that they didn't know if they would be back and that their baby needed a loving home," Matt answered.

"What are you going to do with her?"

"We haven't really decided yet," Angie said. "When we went to the doctor's office to get her checked out, the doctor said that she thought she would be in good hands with me and Matt. I don't know how that would work though. I mean, I can't live here forever."

"Or maybe you can." Matt looked at Angie.

"What?" Angie looked at Matt, confused.

"I've wanted to ask you this for a while now, but I haven't found the right moment to. This whole situation with Ivy and her being safe with us... it just seems like it could work."

"Wait, what?"

"Angie, I love you! I have for a while." Jules decided that she should let her dad and Angie have some space, so she went to the living room.

"Matt, I...," Angie looked into Matt's eyes and smiled. "I love you, too."
