When Matt got back to the office, he walked in and saw that Angie was on the phone.

"Okay, thanks Maz." Angie hung up the phone.

"What was that about," Matt asked.

"I just called him to see if he had found any information about Ivy."

"And?"

"He found a record for a baby girl born three weeks ago with the same features as Ivy. Same colored hair and eyes."

"Okay, well that's something."

"He also said that the parents didn't have anything but a single onesie and tattered blanket for the baby."

"And that's what was in the box with Ivy. So what should we do?"

"Maz was able to get in contact with one of the doctors over at the hospital. He said that they would be willing to see if Ivy is the same baby and they would be willing to give her a check-up."

"What time?"

"In 45 minutes."

"Then I guess we better get on our way."

"Zoe, I don't know what time we're going to be back, so could you lock up when you leave?"

"Copy that, boss," Zoe answered. Then, Angie and Matt went out to the car with Ivy and headed to the hospital. When they got there, they waited in the car for a few minutes, then headed inside. Angie carried Ivy in the car seat, and Matt carried the diaper bag. Maz said that they had to ask for Dr. Jones. They walked up to the check-in desk.

"Hi, we're here to see Dr. Jones. I believe Detective Kurtis Mazhari called and said that she could see us." Matt said to the receptionist.

"Ahh yes. If you could just wait over there, Dr. Jones should be out in a few minutes."

"Thank you." Angie and Matt went over to the waiting area and sat down. Ivy looked cold, so Angie put a small blanket over her. But, then she started getting fussy, so Matt picked her up and held her. A lady sitting across from them looked up and saw the whole scene.

"Can I just say that your baby is really cute! Is she your first one?" Angie and Matt gave each other a look.

"Uhh, yes, she is," Matt said. Before he could say anything else, they heard a door open.

"Shade family?" Angie and Matt assumed that was Dr. Jones and stood up. They walked over to the door and greeted her.

"You must be Dr. Jones," Angie asked.

"Yes, and you must be Angie Everett and Matt Shade?" The two nodded their heads. "Mr. Shade, can I just say that I am a big fan of yours!"

"Always nice to meet a fan!" The three of them walked back into a room and Matt was still holding Ivy.

"So, the detective said that you don't know much about the baby," Dr. Jones said.

"Yes, she was just dropped off in a box at our agency yesterday," Angie explained. "All we know is that he was able to find records of a baby girl that was born here with the same hair and eye colors. He also said that the only things the parents had were a tattered blanket and a onesie, and that's all we found in the box with her besides a note."

"Well, just by looking at her right now, I'm almost positive she's the same baby the detective found the records for."

"So, what should we do," Matt asked.

"First, let's get her checked out and see if she's healthy." While Dr. Jones was checking her out, Ivy started to get fussy. Angie and Matt were on one side of the table, so they were able to try and keep her calm. "She's perfectly healthy!"

"That's great," Angie exclaimed. "What should we do now?"

"Were you wanting to keep taking care of her," Dr. Jones asked.

"We hadn't really thought a whole lot about it. I mean, we have a bunch of stuff for her," Matt answered.

"Well, if you do decide to continue taking care of her, I recommend getting an order for legal guardianship." Matt and Angie nodded in agreement. "It's not my place to say, but just seeing the way you two were acting with her, like trying to calm her down during the check-up, I think she would be in good hands with you."

"Thank you Doctor," they both said.
