Wednesday 8:15 (again)
"Hold on, hold the phone we all died fighting this the first time remember?"
"Klaus shockingly, has a point, what gives us a win this time?"
Blue light flashed in front of us and Five appeared falling onto the bar counter. I jumped up letting out a screech of surprise and Luther spoke up,"Five where have you been?"
"Irrelevant", he grabbed Allison's coffee cup and chugged it tossing it once we was done Luther spoke up again,"so the apocalypse is in three days, the only chance we have to save our world is us, The Umbrella Academy."
"Yeah, but with me, obviously."
I rolled my eyes at Five's statement and snapped,"you're beginning to sound like Luther if you continue to say shit like that ."
Five just brushed away my statement while Luther acted like I just stabbed him and said,"to give us a fighting chance to see next week, I've come with a lead, I know who's responsible for the apocalypse," he pulled out a crumbled piece of paper from his jacket and we all gathered around the paper.
"Harold Jenkins? Who the hell is Harold Jenkins?"
I froze for a moment and and I started to think Diego took notice and asked,"Naomi?"
"I-I think I've heard that name somewhere, it sounds familiar."
I spaced out for a moment thinking about a certain memory.
It was a day dad allowed the public to be at the academy the day we were returning from a mission, I always made sure to have a pen with me so I could sign things for people. I remember I assigning someone's comic when I felt someone tug my coat,"Excuse me I'm your biggest fan!"
I turned to see a boy around my age and smiled about to say something when Luther intervened and shoved the boy away from me,"hey, hey you're not supposed to be here!"
Dad decided to yell,"get back behind the barricade!"
"It's just, I was born on the same day as the Academy Kids, I think I'm like them I must be! I haven't quite figured out what my power is yet, but maybe with your help we can find out!"
"You have no power, you never will have a power go home,"dad barked at the boy.
" No please I-I, you have to let me stay. I came all this way, please don't make me go back,"the boy pleaded ready to burst into tears. My heart lurched and started to shake myself from Luther's grip; then dad crouched a bit and said,"A little word of advice my boy, not everyone in this world can be powerful. Chasing something unattainable is a recipe for a lifetime of disappointment and resentment, so get off my property!"
As he pushed the boy back harshly I cried out,"NO," and broke out of Luther's hold and held out my hand freezing him in position before he hit the car and fell down. I ran to him ignoring dad's cries and helped him stand up straight," are you okay?"
He nodded numbly embarrassed about everyone laughing I turned around and yelled out,"YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF BULLIES."
That shut everyone up and I continued,"AT LEAST HE WAS BRAVE ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS, I BET EVERY SINGLE ON OF YOU KIDS WISHED YOU WHERE LIKE US, AT LEAST HE HAD THE GUTS TO DO THIS."
I gave the boy a tight hug and said,"you don't need to have superpowers to be special, be yourself and find that talent you have. You were brave for doing that and I'm sorry that this happened to you but listen if you want to be powerful you just have to have the bravery you have here,"I pointed to his head,"and here,"I said pointing at his heart,"like most rock and rollers say 'stick it to the man',"this made the boy chuckle a little,"you gotta do what you have to do, and not let anyone walk over you and bring you down."
