I can hear Flor talking about why birds are completely capable of taking over and I see Christian talking to the girl over at the table.

Kai, Jay and Grey occupied with some girls on the other side of Christian.

A figure walks into the building amongst the bodies of the others. I feel a slight recognition bleed over my brain. He's blonde and he's shorter than Christian but not by too much. Christian tenses and I see Kai, Jay, and Grey move their eyes towards him.

Christian pulls his phone out before he turns back into our direction and at that same moment Flor's voice stops. I look down and see her pretty face completely struck. She's staring at him too. Her body language seems like her flight or fight response has kicked in. Then it hits me. That's him. He's the Skyler that hurt her. I vaguely remember the description of him Christian gave me when I first found out about him and Flor. I didn't fucking know him. I don't even know the full damn story yet.
I only knew bits and pieces but I know that is him.

He's with a girl. Flor unfreezes. She begins to speak but I already know. "I know." I say. I grab her closer to my body and lead her out the door closest to us. The air hits when we walk outside. It's cools me down after it felt like my body temperature rose 100 fucking degrees when that bitch walked in.

The sky is dusky blue and kt'll be dark soon. I walk around the building towards the parking lot Flor's small figure next to me.

"I haven't seen him in so long." Flor's voice says. It sounds even. Completely monotone. But I can tell she's trying to make it sound that way. Jesus fuck. We were expecting Gabriel's cunt ass to show up but it's this motherfucker here that's gonna cause problems.

I pull my car keys out and my car chirps. I open the passenger door for her and she gets in. I get in the driver's seat of my tinted car locking the doors.

She's staring out the windshield. Our view consists of a few trees behind the venue, the benches outside, the stairs leading up to the fountain and the entrance.

"Flor." my voice sounds gruff, but I'm trying to sound comforting.

"I'm fine for real." She grumbles. Her demeanor changes. Her jaw tightens and her body seems to slump down all while tensing. "I'm over what he did. I just get mad still." Of course she does. Because that's what fucking happens to sadness that doesn't get healed. It turns into anger. "What happened. Tell me what you want to." Her soft lips open and she tells me the story.
Of her being alone. Her brother in jail, her parents dead. Until she meets him. They become bestfriends and not just him, his friends become like a second family to her. I recall the entirety of the years they had been friends. I always noticed from a distance, everyone has their people, like Grey, Jay, Kai, Christian and I. Skyler and his friends were those people for her. When she lost him it wasn't just him, it was all of them. It reminds me of how me and Christian were friends with Gabriel. I know what it's like to have someone you consider family turn out to be against you. It'd feel like a slap in the motherfucking face.

One she doesn't deserve. She begins to tell me how she slowly finds out all the terrible things they've done.

They abuse their women.

"They raped a girl." she says. Her voice completely guarded. What the fuck. I feel disgust curl in my stomach.

"I tried to stop talking to them. I hated them, but I was scared. If I stopped contact they'd find another way. It only got worse after me and Skyler broke up. I was afraid he'd physically show up at my doorstep."
she continues, it's as if her mouth is full of a bitter feeling when she speaks.

Then she found out they all knew what the others would do. They all supported eachother despite the fact. Skyler was seen hitting a woman in video a few months later as well.
