SAM

I felt a different surge of energy inside me when I woke up. I did not feel myself at all, I felt unfamiliar and very strong.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw Ronan and Aiden looking at me with confused faces. Soon, everything started coming back to my head.
Something happened to me when I saw that murderer Jet Black. All I remember was that I screamed at him with all the anger I had and then... I think then, I blacked out.
I really wanted to kill that bastard. He sucked happiness out of my life.
"Where is he? What happened?" I spoke. When unexpectedly, I felt something extremely sharp on my lips. I moved my arm towards my mouth to see what it was when my fingers came in contact with the sharp and long canines of mine just like Ronan's.
I WAS A COMPLETE VAMPIRE!!

I immediately shifted from my bed and moved towards the mirror that was hanging across the room. My eyes opened wide with surprise at what I was seeing. I had light red eyes and sharp inhumanly canines.
Too many questions were flooding my brain. I was examining the new me,
When suddenly Ronan spoke up in a voice filled with guilt

"I had to do it. Your extreme anger towards Jet unleashed your vampower and your homo body was not strong enough to hold it so, the only option remaining was to turn you completely into a vampire. I am sorry but-"

"Hey!!.. it's okay" I said cutting him out and moving towards him. I don't know why but I couldn't bear to see him filled with so much guilt when it wasn't even his mistake.

To be honest I was fine with being what my father was once upon a time. It felt good and different.

"Dang it!! I can't read her mind anymore" Aiden said in disappointment.
"Aww...That's too sad Aiden, now you can't invade someone's privacy" I replied sarcastically.
All three of us started laughing.

"I am so glad you're fine Sam" Ronan said sounding genuinely happy.
"And now that you're a vampire there's quite alot that you need to know" Aiden said excitedly.
Not going to lie, I was also very excited to find out stuff.

It was dark outside as we started walking on the fields.
"So, firstly vampires of our kind feed on animal blood" Ronan said.
He kept explaining me different things as we were walking on the empty path until we reached the armys meeting area.

Ronan pointed me to move in. As I walked inside the room, I saw three seats, the centre one had a centaur on it whom I had seen in the morning talking to Jet. Beside her, sat a vampire with light brown eyes and on the other side was a warlock with light purple eyes.

"Come in children, we were waiting for you" said the warlock as he swished his wand in the air to create three small chairs right in front of them.
We seated ourselves.

"You must be Sam? I am Ava, the army head. Nice to meet you" said the Centaur with a sweet voice.
"Nice to meet you too" I said with a smile.
"Your eyes are red like your father's" she said as her eyes filled with memories.
"You've seen him?" I asked her curiously.
"Ofcourse I've seen him, we worked together. I was there with him when the blinder was created. I hope Ronan has told you about it" she said glancing a look towards Ronan who was sitting on my right.

"Yes, he told me... why did he kill my father?" I asked....coming directly to the point.

"Well, that's what you are here for. We need to tell you something important. But, before anything, I need you to promise me that you'll not loose your temper again and also not take any unnecessary step without thinking of the outcome." She said in her calm and soft voice.
"I promise" I said. I had to listen to her as I nearly lost my life because of my temper.
"Very well then" she said.

"When the blinder was created, it had to be well hidden so, your father hid it somewhere in the homo world. It is protected by several charms and spells. But, the greatest protection is a door." Said the vampire.

"The blinder lies behind the door. The door that was built by your father, Matthew. That door can only be opened by his blood hence, you cannot get to the blinder without his blood. The condition in this situation is that the blood should be taken from his veins when he's alive" Completed the warlock

"When the zealus found out about this blood protection, they started attacking your father to get his running blood so that they can finally get to the blinder.
We couldn't help your father because after finding love in your mother, Priya, he moved to India where we don't have our reach so, we never got to know about the attacks until, Jet told us after your father's demise. That's when we got to know about the zealus's new plan of breaking the blinder.

When Jet, along with two dragons and warewolves attacked him, your father knew that he wasn't strong enough to fight them. So, before they could take him away alive and use his blood, he sacrificed himself. Your mother was also killed by Jet as she was there with him that night." Said the centaur in a sad voice.

I couldn't from words. I was shocked, sad, angry and confused all at the same time. I just kept staring the leaders mindlessly.

"You're important to us Sam because your father's blood also flows in your veins. You can also open the door. We need you to go on a mission to find the blinder, extract it and bring it back before the zealus gets it.
I know we are rushing but it's very important. Jet knows about you. He will be after you now. I need you three to do this mission. Sam, you've just unleashed your powers so, you'll go through a two week extreme training to learn to control them then, you'll start looking for the blinder. Ask whatever questions you have" Said Ava.

I didn't ask anything. I just got up and moved out of the room. Everything was so overwhelming. I needed time to figure out what actually was happening in my life.
Aiden and Ronan joined me. They didn't say anything. They understood that I wanted silence.

"If it's such an important thing then why is she sending only three of us" I said after around five minutes of silence
"Beause it's a rule that 3 people go on missions and also me and Ronan volunteered for it" said Aiden.
"Sam, we are very sorry for your loss but we really need to do this. It's the question of an entire race and anyways, the zealus are going to come for you. Even your father died protecting it. Apart from that I have a strong feeling that we can do this, together." Ronan said drawing his hand in front of us. Aiden placed his hand of Roman's extended palm. 'My father also wanted to protect it' I thought and placed my hand above Aiden's.

"Why dont they just kill me... Afterall I'm the only way the door can open" I said sounding practical.
"You're the daughter of a great warrior who protected us and this is not the way we are going to pay him back for his extreme help. Apart from that, magics like these always have a drawback. They can be removed easily just after you find that drawback. Zealus have been working very hard to find it and it won't be long before they do. If so, the door can open without your running blood. So, if we dont bring the blinder, now or later there would be a war but you and....only you can prevent it from happening." Explained Ronan

I had to help them. I know they are hurrying as they need me out of their territory as soon as possible because Jet Hale knows about me and his attacks on me would be a threat to the people here.
"So, we need to find the blinder and bring it under the leader's protection....sounds easy" I said

"Yeah yeah!...very easy...just that, we need to face those deadly zealus all the way and also reach before them and then decode the charms protecting the door then carry it back to safety" Aiden said sarcastically.

I took a deep breath and finally said after five minutes of thinking "I'm in"

"Very well then, your training starts day after tomorrow" said Ronan

"Why not tomorrow?" I asked

"Beacuse tomorrow is 1st July, the half-yearly festival" said Aiden with a broad smile.
